Project 3: “Dinner For Two”
Project 3 Rough Draft. My video is finished in terms of splicing all that remains is including sound.
#Art is about taking something ordinary and making it #unique.
If you can't find humor in life, you're not actually living. #art #humor
Art is not limited to paint or canvas. If you are creative everything becomes #art. #rockyhorror #Don'tDreamIt #BeIt
"Waiting In the Wings" #art #sketchbook
If I can't be a Disney Princess then I might as well draw them. #art #sketchbook
My first self portrait. #artproject

She always wears black but she has the most colorful mind. #artproject
Lines are the most basic elements in art. You can draw a line in a second but creating an entire composition based on lines is challenging. This project uses charcoal, acrylic paint, graphite, India ink, micron pen, and even nail polish to create this 8″ X 54″ composition.
Sound Recording #5: A sliding door. (12 seconds)
Sound Recording #4: Me playing the intro to “Stuff We Did” from UP on the piano. (14 seconds)
Homework Assignment #11
My video idea is centered around a table set for dinner. The focus would be on the setting of the table and the emphasis of time passing by. Essentially the plot behind the short video would be someone planning a date and then their significant other not showing up. The time being passed would be represented by the burning of a candle. The video would start out very bright and optimistic but by the end the shot would be more shadowed. The final shot would be the person blowing out the candle to signal that it is “the end” of the video. As far as video elements I am still in the process of figuring them out. My main audio will be the ticking of a clock to play on the idea of passing time.
Sound Recording #3. Zipper (4 seconds)
Sound Recording #2. Pages in a book being flipped through. (5 seconds)
Sound Recording #1. Frogs in my backyard. (29 seconds)
