Nike Wildwood
Re-painted the midsoles on these Wildwood's, probably my most loved and worn Nike's!
Nike Air Force 2
These were my football playing kicks for a long time before I got some "real" football shoes. Wanted to try repairing the scratched leather, but also had to de-yellow the white bits with Retr0bright and fix the Nike logo at the back. I tried to iron out all the creases but no dice.
Nike Air Max One 1999 - Full Restoration These Air Max One's were bought in Reading, England in 1999 by my brother, a few years later while visiting my family circa 2005 in Italy I noticed he given them to my Dad who had steadily worn them into the ground. I took them back caked in mud and cleaned up and wore them for a good three years, then as I was about to throw them away a friend stepped in, took them and wore them up until this summer.
First up I had to clean them up as best as I could, defog the air bubble and try and get the shape back. The next step was stripping the rest of the old paint from the midsole something that hundreds of machine washes had already done most of for me. Due to their age the white mesh was not coming up white any more so I re-dyed that and the black areas then repainted the midsole white and the toe box in its original grey colour.
The insides are still a bit tatty and for some reason there is a stubborn white mark that I need to get rid of at some point. There is a part of the midsole that is cracked and wont take the paint but I'll have to figure that out at a later date too!
For now though I'm pretty happy with the results!
Nike - Dunk Low
De-yellowing/de-creasing/general clean up
New Balance 574 - Re-dye, Deyellowing
These weren't it very bad condition so the impact wasn't as impressive as with other models I've done so far, just need the colour brought back and a bit of deyelllow on the back. Back in their box now cleaned up and ready to wear.
Puma Suede re-dye
Had these for years and years and years, dug them out this morning and just wanted t see if I could give them a new lease of life, couple of hours work and they are like a different pair of kicks altogether. The paint I used for the white didn't take so well but looks better than before.
New Balance 576 Re-Dye/Clean
Still waiting for the right type of leather paint to finish off the Air Max One's but in the meantime decided to try re-dying some of my faded black shoes start with these New Balance I bought in 2005 and haven't worn for about 4 years because the original dye faded really quickly!

Not finished but can't contain my excitement after re-dying the mesh on these Air Max Ones! Originally bought by my brother 13 years ago I managed to track them down and I'm currently trying to restore some life back into them.
Restoration Project 2: Strip and repaint midsoles on Air Max Ones (2002 OG colour way)
First go at repainting the midsoles on Air Max 1s. After 10 years they were looking a bit worn, made the fatal error of putting them in the washing machine a few times so the midsoles were looking terrible. I gave them a clean then stripped away the old paint, a lot of forums say to use Acetone personally I'd never do that again as it started to where away the rubber and crumble of in places. Next time I'll take more time and use a nail file or fine sand paper! After they were stripped I used 3 coats of white leather paint letting them dry between coats! They look pretty good, not perfect mind a few stray spots of paint here and there I need to clean up! Got a really f**ked up par to work on next
De-Yellowing Air Force 1s midsole.
Another practice session, wanted to try out a different formular of Retr0bright on the midsoles of these Airforce 1s that ha turned yellow through time. (Not my pairs btw). Pretty pleased with the results!
Nike Revolution 1st Restoration Project
Bought these from a secondhand shop in about 2005 so never really gave them much care which made them perfect as a gineau pig. First I cleaned out the velcro which was a hassle then cleaned the whole shoe with washing up liquid, warm water and a nail brush. After they dried a bit I Ironed out as many of the creases as possible. After I made my retr0bright solution (which was too runny and didnt stick properly) I applied it to the midsoles and left them out in the (weak autumn) sun for about 3 hours re-applying every 2 hours or so. Not perfect but considering how far gone they were Im pretty please as a first attempt! The main purpose of this whole thing was to see if I could get the yellow bits at the front of the midsoles white.
