i tried to keep my report vague 

i tried to call that thing "someone" and Amy my "roommate"

but I could tell when I showed them a picture of her that they didn’t care as much about finding her and when they caught on to our relationship it all just fell apart

i waited weeks for them to take my statement and watch the tapes and after i harassed them enough times they begrudgingly did it only to ignore my repeated demands for an update in the weeks after
