Self Love Shower Ritual đ¸
A little easy ritual to invoke self love and body positivity during a shower to cleanse your soul a bit and be close with your body!Â
Uses the elements of fire, water, and earth.
Need: đ2 tea lights

đcrystals: rose quartz and what ever you need at the moment (example: I used amethyst and unakite for PMS)Â

Steps:Â 1) Inscribe the tea lights with a self love and body positivity sigil into the wax. The ones I used are below but you can use whatever youâd like! Focus your energy and intention of self love into the sigils on the candles.Â

2)Â Set them up next to your shower with the crystals you chose (3 preferably).
3) Light them.
4) Focus your energy and visualize a white light of self love around the candles and you as your sigils are now activated.Â
5) Get into the shower. As you shower check in mentally and continue to feel that white light spiritually cleaning you as the shower physically cleans you. If youâd like repeat a mantra of self love. Visualize the act of showering as washing off the negative energy and self hate.
6) After the shower, meditate on the thoughts of body positivity and love. Hold the crystals, visualize the white light (turning off the lights helped me but its up to you!)
7) Blow out the candles with the intention of keeping that white light with you once the candles are out.
NOTE: This ritual can be modified for any need with different sigils and crystals!Â

Gods and goddesses are NOT correspondences. They are NOT spell ingredients. Gods and goddesses are not just called on for spells. They are to be respected and honored. Iâve seen this trend of Neo-Pagans to say âoh this god or goddess is good for such and suchâ. They are not âgood for somethingâ like an herb or a stone. They are the divine ruler of that thing. Building relationships with deities requires work. They donât just do everything you ask them. Have respect for deities, donât just list them as correspondences and use them for their associations.

I once went to a Pagan Pride Festival (read: Neo-Wicca Festival with a few generic pagans of no particular devotion or denomination) where so many peoplewere overheard stating that they didnât believe that people has some of the connections with deities that they claim. In that same hour, a seminar was held about spell-casting by one of the aforementioned doubtful individuals. In this seminar, they some about how one might craft together an incense for a spell based entirely on the supposed metaphysical properties of herbs. Okay, thatâs a popular concept, and not everyone is an animist. I could not keep myself quiet, however, when the speaker began saying, and I quote this from memory: âOkay so communication. Which God do you invoke. Well, Hermes is good for communicating. So you make an incense he will like, and ask for help with conmunication. Thatâs your spell.â
No. That is not how that works. Hermes is not âgood for communication,â He is a fucking GOD. And just because he acts as a messenger for the Greek Gods does not mean Heâs just going to help you with your Speech class project. Especially if youâve literally never made offering to Him, honored Him, or even said His name in reverent context. Further, the described operation is not a spell. Itâs a prayer, and an offering. Veeeeery big difference.
There is a deeply held disrespect for deities in the modern day, with people simply calling up whatever deity they want whenever and expecting full manifestations instantly. There is no understanding of reverence or even a sense of reality when it comes to deities, because people who say these kinds of things have failed to cultivate a real relationship with these figures, and in my belief, they donât even really believe in them at all.
