If MC has good singing voice and likes to sing/hum, how will Annika feel? Will she prefer they don't do it in her present? Will she just feel sorta wistful, but otherwise fine? Will she be jealous that they still have the ability? How will she react if MC decides to serenade her? Does she in general enjoy music now or does it strike a nerve?

If your MC is simply a friend, Annika will be jealous of your singing, but she will do her best not to show it.
-Annika still listens to music occasionally. She has an old iPod full of music that Silas and Xavier got her for one of her birthdays - she still listens to it sometimes, but there are a lot of memories attached to the iPod and the songs therewithin, so she does so sparingly.
-She misses singing so much that it causes a physical ache when others do it. That's one of the reasons she avoids the big Deerbourne festivities or events - seeing the Initiates (and sometimes even her friends) being able to make merry in a way she never can again... It hurts.
If your MC is romancing her/she has feelings for them, it's a different story. She still feels a pang of loss, a lot of nostalgia, but she loves hearing their voice. She delights in their joy as they sing or hum absentmindedly. She could listen to it forever and never get sick of it.
-If the MC were to serenade her, she'd literally melt into the floor.
Now, I understand why an он сам romance is not on the table, but in a hypothetical scenario, if I was a very very attractive tree or something, could I have a chance?👀
