Let’s stop asking admins if specific things they have listed as banned are negotiable. It does nothing besides proving that you don’t give a shit about the admins decisions (whether that be banned plots or fcs. I don’t believe in gender bans because those are trash and usually only used for ship reasons).
Hi! Sorry to bother you, but I was reading your posts and you're very right. I admin a group and I definitely want to write some trans and nonbinary muses, but I'm too scared of writing them the wrong way since I'm cis myself. Do you know of any good guides to write non binary and trans muses? Thank you! :)
Well I know a lot of us wouldn’t be bothered by you coming to us directly to ask questions or show us the bio. If any of my followers wouldn’t be bothered helping out, please like this post. As it is, writing trans and non binary muses is very similar to writing cis muses. I know personally, I don’t like to see bios all about someone being trans or non binary because we are more than that.

im going to say something really controversial here:
I am not obligated to educate every fucking person in the rp community and their roleplays with poor representation BUT especially not when Im required to come to them with praise about doing the bare minimum and talk in a soft voice as to not scare them.

@aprilrph dont want you to take this the wrong way because I understand you, but I think it is more the fact that people think that you can get through to people by either being offensive back or by hate. It is completely fine to be hurt and angry, but no one has ever a reason to start a war against someone before trying to educate them and give them a chance to realize the shit their caused.

no one is ever obligated to educate someone when someone’s views are harmful to their existence. the resources are widely available and passed around. stop asking the people that you hurt to hold your hand. it’s not difficult to know that these things are transphobia. it’s not. this is at least the third time in the past… two or three months that this exact issue has been brought up just with nico.
just because your hand isn’t being held doesn’t mean people are being offensive or rude. what’s beyond offensive and rude is being transphobic. the anon who initially brought up the problem was incredibly polite and the admin decided the anon’s feelings didn’t matter.
Hey @miahelps, can you stop referring to the act of trans people speaking up for themselves as starting a war? You’re really missing the point and are making those in the wrong the victim. It doesn’t matter how we go about things because you and others are always going to find something at fault or tone police us. Continuing to demonize trans ppl and to make us out as bullies is gross.

I have a lovely Android muse and would love to have a place to play them more so if anyone knows any rps that would allow android/robot characters, Id appreciate knowing about them.
So I know ive been talking about it a lot but Im super excited for this rp me and Cam are working on. Like its a mystery rp where everyone has specific information they are holding onto. Out of 16 characters, at least 8 have to be poc and at least 6 have to be non cis.

If you run an rp and do not write any characters as being non cis, you are to blame for not having any non cis characters in your rp and, honestly, your rp not feeling inviting to non cis muns.
If you run an appless rp and do not encourage non cis characters in your fc suggestions, most wanted asks and rules (including that one character MUST be non cis if someone playing multiple characters, you are to blame for not having any non cis characters in your rp and your rp not feeling inviting to non cis muns.

Admins are in control of the skeletons they make, the fcs they suggest, the charas they suggest, and so on.
And the rules they make. If admins want trans and nb characters in their rp they would have a rule for it in effect. I know when I admin, I play a nb character but also have a rule that states that if the character limit is three, one must be non cis. Like, its totally fair to blame admins for not creating an inclusive environment.

Well its a smaller 16 character mystery rp so there sadly is no second batch at the moment (mostly because the rps main plot will be finished once the mystery is solved).

I know. Like we (me and Cam) are putting three suggestions on each skeleton and then we have other suggestion in case people ask but like it sucks because there are so characters I can see so many fcs as for various reasons.
In the process of making my new rp, Ive come to realize I have too many fc suggestions and not enough characters which is a super big shame especially because we are only suggesting them and not casting them and some people will want to use someone completely different (which is fine as long as they fit the general aesthetic the character goes for.) I just love all these fcs.
I got into that bio rp and I feel really happy about that but Im also really nervous because I still don’t think my writing was great in the bio portion. Like I love my baby character but also.... poo.
I have the worse feeling about writing a bio for a rp that i am excited about and hitting roadblocks because I feel I can’t write. Like, I used to do para threads with like 8 paragraphs and now I feel I cant even string together two sentences.
Playing a trans woman (regardless of where she is at with her transition) by using a male fc is disgusting. Also, using he/him pronouns to refer to said character is transphobic.
