You notice how season 3 Shauna behaves just like her visions of ghost Jackie. She even uses the same phrases. So Shauna kinda became Jackie, but not the actual one. Like she consumed her vision of her fully.

If real living Jackie was a butterfly then Shauna became her moth imitatiom.
