I don't know, I'm too distracted by how quickly time moves. And these magnificent windows that I have been staring out of for the past two hours as I should have been reading short stories by Poe and prize winning pieces from the Harlem Renaissance. Big framed blocks of glass to pull me out of my head and onto the sidewalk underneath, then onto the backs of the little people below - walking, or running or sitting or crying. God, I love you people. And it doesn't even have to be windows. It could be an eggshell-painted stucco wall and I could make it into something incredible that could drag my attention into the next hour and a half. Better yet, it could even be a misplaced speck of paint on that bare boring wall that could take me somewhere besides the inside of my forehead. Because at least that misplaced speck of paint knows what the fuck it is doing. At least this wall knows where it belongs, beginning to end. And I hope, at the least, these magnificent windows know how important they are to me.
