She was a little caught off guard by this situation. Usually, her surroundings completely disappeared whenever she was focused on her free time. Maybe it was a little careless? But she didn’t want to worry about anything while being outside. So, now that she had decided to speak up, she didn’t know what to do next. Ah, this was awkward. Maybe the girl didn’t even stare at her, maybe it was just a misunderstanding. Kotori stood there with a puzzled expression. Meanwhile, the other averted her gaze. Worrying that she somehow upset the stranger, she decided to jump off the stone wall to face her properly. She was about to apologize, for what exactly, she didn’t know. But the other was faster than her. Kotori could only blink at her.
“Oh…” For some reason, she thought this was rather funny. Forcing herself not to laugh, she simply smiled at the girl. “It’s okay. I guess normal people don’t usually… act the way I do?” Unlike others, she didn’t seem to have any problems to act carefree or open. Balancing on a stone wall in the middle of a busy city sure seemed strange. Then again, the fact that this person, out of anyone else that passed her by, managed to notice her… didn’t this make her just as strange? The smile on her lips widened. “Ah, it’s a beautiful morning, isn’t it?” A sigh, and she shifted her gaze up to the sky once again.
normal people. yes. those were the words that seemed to pluck her attention more towards the girl in front of her. could one state the look in elise’s eye’s be panic --- ?? or just pure confusion --- ??
how could this stranger, this girl --- ?? just act so care free with the risk of having all eye’s on her --- ?? elise ... already wanted to turn the other way, run home && put all of this behind her.
what confuses her the most, the sudden turn in the conversation --- ?? she couldn’t stop herself from actually having to reply to the girl.
“ i ... yeah --- ?? i suppose so ... i don’t really see the morning sky often. “
she never even realised it ... that she was outright allowing herself to fumble words that linked to how she was to live her daily live. in solitude. but there was no use to dwell on that ... not now ... she didn’t want to create an atmosphere more awkward then she already felt.
she remains silent for a little while longer, trying to find the right words to compose within her mind before actually having to express them. the last thing she wanted to do was say the wrong thing ... now that would create an awkward vibe.
“ i don’t think i’ve seen you around much ... --- ?? “
she was learning. yes, of course she was learning. she used to have such an open && bubbly personality ... but since that day, she had changed for the worse ... this was certainly the first stepping stone for her.
