Merry not Christmas @delaneyxl
Have a good [Holiday], and try to not reproduce while you’re at it.
perscus:
❝yeah, i mean i probably couldn’t, but i don’t know. if you gave me enough time, maybe, but sometimes i avoid the obvious without trying to. i think that’s an adhd thing, though. ❞ percy spoke without much thought, happily bouncing on his desk chair and twiddling his thumbs. ❝ he doesn't hate you, del, ❞ he replied back with a fond roll of his eyes. ❝ i promise. i think… he just has a hard time, uh, being a dad sometimes. he’s not built for it or whatever. like how i used to really want to play lacrosse because i thought it was cool, but i suck at lacrosse. and as for how well it turned out… it really depends if you want me to lie or not.❞
Del looked over at her brother affectionately, he had always been like this, able to see the good in everyone, or at least he had been for as long as she’d known him. “Everything with you is an adhd thing,” She teased. “Yeah well that makes Erik the captain of the whole damn team... even if that is a little bit of an overstatement,” It was no secret that the girl had a hard time when it came to their ‘parents’ and given how close the two were it meant Percy had to listen to all her complaining. She then raised an eyebrow. “I bet I can guess,”
@perscus “You will never guess what happened to me today,” Delaney spoke from where she was sat on her brother’s bed, eating a bar of chocolate she was gifted for Hanukkah “If Charles didn’t hate me before he definitely does now... Please tell me you at least had a better time,”
christianxsummers:
“Someone has got a wrong vision of reality. As I recall it, you’re the one dying for my attention.” Chris replied, raising his eyebrows condescendingly. “I just couldn’t bear the thought of hearing you singing all those awful Hannukkah songs."
“Oh yeah, and where’s your proof of that Summers?” The two of them were always like this flirting, teasing, arguing it was pretty much the same thing. “I really don’t know which part of that sentence is the most offensive. One, I sing like an angel and two Hannukkah songs are a gift to mutant kind compared to all those stupid Christmas songs,”
@christianxsummers “Y’know there’s a part of me that still can’t believe you managed to go for the majority of Hanukkah without my company,” The girl commented from where the two of them were sat together, far too close. “Am I really that forgettable to you Christian? You’re usually dying for my attention,”
hxwlingcommandx:
“Why’s that?” Bucky asked, his pen moving in staccato bursts across the page. Even after all this time, recovering memories weren’t always easy. Sometimes the words seemed to outrace his pen, but other times, like now, he seemed to struggle to get it out.
“Oh I don’t know,” Her thoughts borderline spiteful. “It must get pretty messed up in that head of yours,” If there was something Delaney hated it was being alone with her thoughts, she could it was only guess it was the same with the other.
papasummers:
As soon as the first snap came out of the girl’s mouth Gabriel’s fist balled up and a yellow aura surrounded his hands. “Little girl…. 10. 9, 8, 7….” Gabriel was counting to calm himself down. “You children are so fucking disrespectful…. “ He continued to breathe in and out. “I would have killed you right then.. I am still debating on doing it.” He stated, a lot more calmer now. “What the fuck is your problem.”
“Ah yes because there’s literally no problem with the faculty giving students death threats is there,” Delaney replied, holding her hand up in front of her and letting it catch aflame in the hopes that it might prove she wasn’t afraid of him, and that she was strong enough to look after that. “I hardly think Scotty boy would approve,” Del and the other Summers hardly got along but she could at least feel safe around him. “Well murderous teachers for one,”
telepathicjackass:
charles gives delany a disappointing look. pausing for a moment. he had no idea what to do with delany. she shouldn’t have punched the other girl. that wasn’t how she should’ve been acting, and yet, he couldn’t bring himself to scold her. someone about him clenched at the idea of doing so. “you need to apologise.” he carefully replied, mulling over his cup of tea. he looks to his daughter. “i don’t want to hear protests. you’ll be apologising to her. i don’t care what she said.”
The girl falls silent as he gaze falls to the floor, both guilt and frustration filling her. Del hugged her arms to her chest as the other spoke. “Are you seriously taking her side?” She asked disbelief evident. “You don’t see Grace running up to apologise to me, and she didn’t hesitate to throw punches either,” Delaney was a fighter, she always had been. She wasn’t about to give that up for anyone, and she certainly wasn’t going back down. “Erik would have said I did the right thing,”
hunterlebeau:
“Anyone ever tell you that complaining is counterproductive?” Mostly he’s assuming it’s something that Charles would have said at one point or another. “Last I checked I wasn’t a teacher if anything I’m being a distraction. You’re so tightly wound you probably need it anyway.”
“They might have, I just chose not to listen obviously,” The girl shrugged, hardly amused by the other’s actions “No you’re not it’s a good job they don’t let you around. Oh please I know how to have fun when I want to I just don’t think you’re worth having it with,”
hxwlingcommandx:
Bucky looked at her blankly, not really in the mood to deal with the girl’s brattiness. “Right,” he said flatly. He leaned down and pulled one of his memory journals from his satchel on the ground at his feet – volume #7 – before snatching a pen from the depths of the bag. With that, he began writing, ignoring her as easily as if she were the whiny toddler she acted like, a child who only needed a nap.
Delaney couldn’t help but roll her eyes as the other ignored her. Clearly he wasn’t feeling up to the simple act of holding a conversation. Still she sat there silently, unsure of whether she should simply leave. “Y’know talking to people is probably a good idea,” She replied after a moment, fully aware such a thing went against her better judgement.
hunterlebeau:
“If you weren’t such a pissbaby then I wouldn’t find joy in bugging the shit out of you.” Hunter countered as he relaxed into his chair and slung his arm around the seat next to him making it obvious that he wasn’t planning on going anywhere anytime soon.
“Yeah well someone has to be the one to complain, it’s kinda how these things work,” Delaney shrugged doing her best to ignore the desire to leave the other’s proximity. “That doesn’t mean that you have to be the one to add to my work load though,”
jaycexofmagnetism:
“I still don’t get Christmas.” Jayce mused as they sat by the menorah. “Not so much the holiday itself, as much as I don’t get why they had to make up Santa to add on to it?”
@delaneyxl
“I...,” Del stopped talking to think it over for a moment. “I guess they just wanted a reason to exchange gifts, though why they don’t use the example of the three kings is beyond me,” She hadn’t given such things much thought.
hxwlingcommandx:
Bucky turned and gave the girl a cool, unimpressed glance before turning back to his lunch companion. He didn’t know, or care, if she’d been blasting her childish rudeness at him or not. “Sorry about that,” he said, and then pointed to the paper on the table in front of him. “You were close, but you meant to say kosa, not klyuch. You said you know how to French key, not French braid.” The student thanked him, and a few minutes later, made their goodbyes. Bucky glanced back at Delaney. “What were you saying about thinking before speaking?”
Delaney couldn’t help but roll her eyes at the fact the other was simply ignoring her. “I ask whether you had the chance to think before you speak,” She replied with a shrug. “Russian isn’t the only language on the planet y’know, despite what you make think,” The girl should have known better than to take such a tone with a professor, but right then she would have picked a fight with anyone.
radioactive-spider-son:
Ben chuckled to himself as he shook his head at her. “Be that as it may, Matchstick, tis simply how I am.” he mused as he finally looked up from his work. “I’ll do my best. So, what’s got you all grumpy gills today?”
The girl raised an eyebrow at the sound of the nickname but said nothing as the other continued. “I have my reasons. Doesn’t mean I have to share them with you.” She shrugged. “What are you working on?”
radioactive-spider-son:
“Nope” he answered quickly. “It’s a fatal flaw in my personality.” he quipped as he looked up. “Nah, fairly run of the mill, actually. Some may call it a gift, I call it a curse,” he chuckled softly as he looked up at her. “But are you done being indignant?”
Delaney rolls her eyes scoffing as the other talks. She wandered sometimes, just how Ben could get along with Will and Chris the way he did, but at the same time it was a good job he could put up with them. “It’s straight up annoying,” She replied. “But yes, so long as you promise to use english next time”
“Do you actually think before you speak?” Delaney snapped crossing her arms about her chest as she spoke. “I just want to know whether this is a special occasion or whether I’ve just been cursed somehow,” The young mutant didn’t care for the answer, frankly she just wanted to be left alone.
