Hello to all my amazing readers out there. If you’re looking for more stories, I have some really important news to share. First thing’s first. If you’re a reader of The Virginity Problem, my most recent Scorose fic, you might notice that it has recently been taken down. But don’t worry! It’s for a good reason. After talking with lots of advisors and friends, I’ve decided to take The Virginity Problem and turn it into an original story. It will have most of the same plot line (although obviously not taking place at Hogwarts because yeah) but my own original characters and all that jazz. There will be a lot of new content added as well to flesh the story out a bit more. This is something I’ve been thinking about doing for a really long time. At first I was dead set against doing it. My fanfic was my fanfic and it was for my fanfic readers, dammit! But then I wanted to create spin-off stories with non-HP characters (like Tally and Callum) and I knew I wouldn’t be able to do that here. This story that I’ve created has just been lit on fire in my mind and I want to be able to do this story and these characters justice. So, ultimately, my goal is to take this story and create a three part series. The first story will be the story you all know and (hopefully) love, with a twist. The second story will be Tally’s story. And the third will be a new-ish character that you’ll have to read to find out about! If you loved TVP, I hope you’ll give this series a chance.

I’ve created a new tumblr page for my author profile for my original works. It is jchaydenwrites.tumblr.com. I will still have my deletetheadjectives blog for my fanfic because I am definitely not done writing fanfic (send drabble requests!). But if you want information and updates about any original work, it will be on my author blog right here. I have several original stories in the works. One will be this new series that The Virginity Problem will transform into. Another is an M/M romance series set during the American Civil War (that began in my mind as an AU/AR Drarry fanfic until I let the idea run away with me). And I have a few others that I’m still outlining. I will post excerpts, updates, and other news on this jchaydenwrites blog.

I really, sincerely hope that you all will join me on this journey. You have been the most amazing, loyal readers for years, and I appreciate you all so much. Let’s start this new journey together!

Yessss I’m so glad you like it. The idea for Ginny’s storyline was based somewhat on experiences I’ve had as a DV/SV advocate. And (I’m not ashamed to admit) the Dramione plot was pretty much based on every movie of the late 90s/early 00s that continue to be my guilty pleasures and always, pathetically, make me v. emotional.

“What?” I stopped, taken aback, looking down at him.

“Here comes Nolan Kelsey, the Great Moral Compass, come to save poor old Grey Barrett, the Poor Little Rich Boy,” he bit out. “I bet you gave them all a stern talking to before you left, huh? We’re a team! We have to stick together! We’re all one fighting for Old Dixie!” Grey’s voice deepened as he imitated the speech he thought I gave, and I frowned, confused by this assessment of me. When I didn’t respond, Grey scoffed. “Nothing to say then?”

“I came to apologize, actually,” I spluttered.

That made Grey roll his eyes again. “Apologize for what, exactly? Not coming to my rescue like the good boy you are?”

“I should have said something. I –”

“Why?” Grey said, eyes narrowing further. “It’s not like we’re friends. You don’t owe me anything, you don’t –”

“My god, do you ever shut up?” I finally snapped, making his eyes go wide. I was irritated that he couldn’t accept my apology, irritated that I’d come after him in the first place, irritated by his judgment of me, and most of all, irritated that he might be right. “I mean, Jesus, I came to say sorry they treated you that way and that, friends or not, I hate to see anyone being treated like that, and, friends or not, I shouldn’t have let them do that.”

“Do you think it’s your job to save everyone?”

“Excuse me?”

“I don’t need your pity, Nolan.”
