sometimes change is needed to keep habits sustainable. when I started my new job, doing yoga every day felt like a chore. it wasn’t something I looked forward to, it became an obligation and I felt I wasn’t seeing the benefits to my mood any more. the last week or so, I’ve switched to doing yoga every other day. it is so much more manageable to do, I look forward to it sometimes and oh my gosh do I notice the difference in how I feel afterwards. maybe I’ll go back to daily once I’ve gotten into a routine, or maybe every other day is the best rhythm for me for now. but I’d rather change the habit than start resenting it and eventually stop it. progress over perfection any day.
