silly fan species!! Lunae-fae/Lunar-Fae
they're basically butterflies turned into moths.
Lifespan - they're pretty long-lived, despite being so fragile.
Lifecycle - as children, they're grub-looking caterpillars, watched over by the wingless. as preteens, they make a coocoon, and stay in there for months at minimum. when they release, they (usually) aquire their wings, but on rare occasions, some have smaller, weaker, damaged, or no wings at all! this can also happen in limbs, and this is often caused by shaking of the coocoons during soup time. as adults, they're often very tall, and some choose to lay eggs right around death.
Mutations - sometimes, a Moth can have brighter, more butterfly-ish attributes, which is very dangerous. the damaged and unable often are kept to watch the children, make food, or become doctors. on rare occasions, some get extra wings or limbs.
attributes - they're very long, females are bigger than males. their exo-skeleton is strong enough to block most small weapons, and they produce silk around a pocket in their neck. they grow fluff under their exoskeleton parts, possessing a neck-full of fluff. their horns, depending on their family, can look like all sorts of things! they have fluffy antennae, and huge wings that they wrap around themselves like a cloak or shawl. some even keep them down. their fluff helps them to look bigger against danger. they have four arms, and their wings have 'tails', which distract predators, but they can only be caught once each, which can be painful. in that case, they get silk-tail prosthetics. their colors are white and blues, along with greys. these wings have eye/moon patterns. their masks have blueish markings on them, like flowers or swirls on their foreheads, and they can mean different things. their weapons often have similar engravings too. they have a second, smaller pair of wings alongside their head. and their fur grows out to be similar to extra fluffy, curly-ish hair, to block the cold. the marks on their masks is their mouth-sides. their masks are a part of their face after molting, and they have a smallish mouth, that has a long probiscus tongue, and spider-like chelicecarea (I hope I spelled that right) to hold onto food. sometimes, they even have fangs that assist with tearing apart food.
clothing - their clothing is often simple, a long robe like Hornet's, apart from the neck, to protect them from cold. they refuse to wear heavy things like metals, which will drag them down when flying. this is less of a problem for nonwinged, as they're used to not flying.
other (like attack styles) - they are used to flying, so they're very quiet walkers. they can sneak up on someone quite easily, despite their size. they're very fragile, so their attack-styles are often a hit-and-run or long-distance. like using ringblades. their naming system is often something to do with snow, the moon, or water. like Snow stream, Moon seeker, Starhelm,Silverstream or SnowStalker.
Lore -
they used to be butterflies, living peacefully away from most. when (an illness like the Radiance or smth) arrived, they were confronted by the Pale King, asking for assistance. here, their leader, MoonBringer, basically pulled a Herra and requested a child in return for their help. of course, this was accepted. and they escaped into Mount Fey soon after. they weren't unharmed, and mutated/evolved into the moths they are now. their leader still lives on today, with her child, and knight, MoonCutter.

Extra - PLEASEPLEASEPLEASEE don't reblog and dip. you don't necessarily have to, but i'd prefer, when roleplaying, if you have a tight schedule/a limit, please tell me in the roleplay tags/ask, including perhaps a time/date when you will be able to be pinged/reblog! this is for my own sanity.
