During the ‘difficult days’ at Apple (1969ish) this sort of message arrived in my office or at home fairly frequently (though rarely so explicit and never so artistic as this one) from Paul. There is some humour in the drawing, I think, and it is an accurate, if hard, representation of a press hang-out. At the time, the cartoon made me doubt, even dismiss, our worth as a press office but with hindsight I know that Apple would not have been nearly as good as it was without us lot on the second-floor back (Richard, Carol, Mavis, Sally, Frankie and me and all the others) nor as much fun and despite what may have been said, written or imagined, Apple was often very very good and a happy and creative place to be. We believed in Apple to the end - and beyond.
