When we are watching the stars, they are watching us…

Stars have whispered to Night Glider about a pony called Forty Winks, who is sad and tired every night… And nobody remembers her. Night Glided decided to show her how the night sky appreciates the attention of Forty Winks, the pony who can never sleep and always watches the starry night sky, searching for something. Maybe, to find a way to get some sleep, or maybe to find true friends? She is no longer alone now, and is now realising she has never been. Maybe, Night Glider have made a “Star Lullaby” for her new friend, but is this really the most important part?.. Forty Winks finally gets to be happy, she is not alone, and she only dreams for this magical moment to never end.

I drew this artwork under strong inspiraton from the two songs by SoGreatAndPowerful {SGAP}. He was a Brony musician, made a lot of beautiful and unique music, but during 2013 he left the fandom and removed all of his works from YouTube and other sites. It’s a good thing that his music was saved by his fans, and is now stored in a YouTube channel called SoGreatAndPowerfulArchives. That’s where i learned about him and his works.

The first song is about Forty Winks, an Earth pony who can’t sleep at all. It is thanks to this song i’ve learned about her. She is an OC of Ponywise, she had a Tumblr askblog called Ask40Winks until 2014. It is now gone. 40 Winks (Griffinilla + SoGreatAndPowerful)

The second song is about Night Glider, a pony from G1, i couldn’t find much information about her role in G1, maybe, she was just a toy outside the cartoon… I learned about her from this song, and it is also absolutely amazing. This is the one i learned about years ago and i still return to it to listen and enjoy: Sgap : Night Glider
