An ebony hedgehog trudged across the forest. His leg broken due to an attack from Eggmans robots that he failed to dodge. It had gotten crushed. For as strong and smart as he was, he let his ego get in the way. He was stuck in this forest due to none other than Doctor Eggman. They had battled. Shadow was alone. He believed he could battle him by himself. He’s done it before…but he was in better health. Recently, Shadow had been losing a ton of sleep due to nightmare which threw all his attacks off pattern. Even his rival, Sonic, had noticed the last time they battled. He managed to finish the battle but in bad health. Shadow looked around the forest, trying to get out or atleast find a friends place. But he knew that *nobody* lived here. Nobody even came here at night. He couldn’t chaos control away either due to how low his energy was. The longer he was out the more tired he got before coming across a sketchy house. It was old…very old. He had never seen it before despite all his races through here. Once he made it face to face with the house, it felt like something..somebody was watching him. His curiosity got the best of him and he pushed the door open, limping inside. Once he entered the old shack, he looked around and his quills spiked up. “This place is a dump” Shadow groaned. It was all he had till morning though. The ebony hedgehog jumped from three loud bangs. Not long after lighting struck. Then there was three bangs again. The lights flickered before he noticed writing on the wall. Blood. He recognized it. It read ‘ThIs WiLl Be ThE eNd Of YoU’. Shadows heart dropped, stumbling back for a second. The door slammed shut and locked before Shadow felt a large gust of wind to past him. The hybrid spun around, nearly losing balance as he looked around. “W-Who’s there?!” He barked
