Growing up, I’ve always liked certain things that were seen as “girls stuff.” I liked Sailor Moon (which was my first anime I’ve watched), the Powerpuff Girls and Tokyo Mew Mew. I even used to wear some of my twin sister’s dresses (despite the fact I got laughed at and made fun of by my older sister’s drunk ass friends) and I’ve never seen it as girl stuff. I grew up conditioned into seeing things as gender specific and that kinda repressed my feminine side. Nowadays I don’t care. Some days I wanna be girly and some days I want to be manly. I can do both if I want. Either ways, I’ve come a long way to being comfortable in my own skin.
