Mairimashita! Iruma-kun is the most important manga of this century, and Osamu Nishi is a genius. I'm here to tell you why.

All hail the Demon King 👑

This is a blog dedicated to spreading the word about M!IK. I read it several times and I became utterly obsessed, and it changed my life for the better.

For some reason, it's treated as some innocuous work for children, but it's so much more than that - and it improves with each chapter.

Since I have many thoughts on this, I'll write them all on this blog. Welcome!

Every time new outfits/art of them drop for pop up shops I have to fight the gremlin in me that wants to scream to the rooftops. What do you MEAN that they always have each other’s colors all over the outfits????? THEY MAKE FERAL. Ughh, god I wish I had a connection in Japan to buy me standees of these three.

(Side note, it’s so funny to me that Iruma always looks so femme in these fits. Iruma is truly embracing generfuckery like Opera. Is he a boy? Girl? Nonbinary? Something else? He’ll never tell 😌)

In Mairimashita! Iruma-kun we also have this very cute message of "its okay to keep secrets from people you know until you're ready".

I love that its recognized the fact that keeping secrets doesn't make you a bad friend/partner. Because you are entitled to your privacy, to have parts of your life that you are not ready to share.

And I think its so refreshing against what people usually say like "if they love you they're accept you like you are!" And yeah that's a lovely message, but it doesn't remove the fact that trusting someone and being ready to fully give yourself to that person will take time because us as people just aren't ready to talk about many things.

sometimes I think about the Heartbreaker arc in mairuma and how terrified Iruma was feeling genuine bloodlust directed at him. How in that split second all he could do was cry out for Kalego and Kalego goes to protect him. No hesitation.

Idk where I'm going with this. Maybe its just seeing this as the first time Iruma is desperately crying for help from someone (despite the years of abuse on earth telling him no one will help him) and Kalego answering with no hesitation because he cares so much and uhg (I reeeeaaaaally hope they do a 'Rescue iruma from earth' arc if iruma does get deported. Just reconfirming that even when they all find out iruma is a human, they all love him anyway)

this is the second formal outfit Iruma has worn where his ahoge is the only bit of hair not pulled back or smoothed down & it gives me the mental image of Opera trying to brush his hair, even using whatever hair gel the Netherworld has, and his ahoge just keeps springing back up. Eventually Opera just gives up and goes "y'know what at least it'll let everyone know he's Iruma"
