Lowkey still thinking of Mephisto being created artificially(or idk, he just aint a natural demon). Maybe by the Deities or the will and magic of the Netherworld, for the sole purpose and existence to choose the Demon King that will rule Netherworld and build it with them.
Something that ALL demons have, is bloodline magic. They get it from their genetics, and its a proof of your ancestors and which bloodline you belong to.
The Gaap family got their bloodline magic from a Deity. Safe to assume, ancient demons dont have what we call Bloodline Magic now, and some point gained them. Or maybe magic in general? Because from the beginning of the demons, it seems to be more of literal strength that they gained, their features like horn and claws are to show its strength and teeth, wings and tail are what to enforce that strength. Nothing about magic. So maybe Deities, who are the natural forces of the Netherworld, at some point gave it to them?
Naberius family, while their Cerberus is not the traditional Bloodline Magic, its still technically Bloodline magic as only those with Naberius blood will have the Cerberus.
Mephisto is someone who does not have bloodline magic. He is the only one of his kind. He still has magic. The unique thing about him, is that he has the ability to reborn. Or well, either reborn or immortality. Demons still have a lifespan, even if its crazily longer than humans. Seeing as Dokfel, a demon king, tasking to Mephisto to choose a new King because he will die soon.
Bro literally ceased to exist until the Trickster Plan start launching frfr and he got brought into the 13 crowns immediately.
Probably over-thinking it cause I love mephisto, but im delulu to believe that there is more to mephisto, and his title and role is just surface level and that he is more powerful than what we currently know.

Baal, you conniving demon. His manipulative words throughout the chapter reeeaaally ticked me off. He knows how to play his cards, and Princess Shura is unknowingly playing into his scheme. I really can't blame her though, Baal is her favorite...
I'm glad Lord Sullivan has Belial and Lady Levi on his side. Even though their words don't affect Princess Shura's decisuon much, they're not the three greats for nothing. I want to see the rest of the Thirteen Crowns and hear what they have to say about Baal and Iruma.
And we're back with Clara and Azz T_T They're in such a state of shock. Of course the news that Iruma is a human would be surprising, but I have no doubt that Clara and Azz would accept him for who he is and keep being the love trio. The real shock is Iruma going away. Azz hasn't said anything about the situation yet. I hope they can do whatever they need to do to gather themselves and complete Iruma's request. Will they go to their classmates? Teachers? Parents?
Thereās no way Azz isnāt in denial about Iruma being human. Like I canāt see him just believing Iruma is anything less than an exceptional demon. Heās probably gonna need a lot of time to think about this
Following the post I made yesterday about Sullivan, I really wanna do a deep dive going into my last statement I made in that ramble:
Samael Sullivan has not changed.
From chapter 1 all the way up until 451, weāve seen plenty of characters grow and change as the story went on. Even more subtle changes like with Kalego and Opera. But throughout that whole time, thereās one character who hasnāt grown or changed.
Samael Sullivan.
Now, that probably does sound ridiculous, doesnāt it? I mean, Sullivan used to be Derkilaās retainer! A serious nagger! But look at the keywords there. āUsed toā. His time as Derkilaās retainer is long in the past, much like the 10 ft tall twunk himself.
Currently, we are dealing with present day Sullivan. The Three Greats member voted most likely to become the Demon King. The headmaster of Babyls. Irumaās adoptive grandfather who spoils him to bits and loves to dote on and be affectionately overbearing (in a good way).
Butā¦ if youāll noticeā¦ that statement applies to Sullivan during his entire runtime.
Of course you can make generalized statements about other characters: Sabnock is the tough, strong headed rival to Iruma, Jazz is the big brotherly thief, etc. But each of their characters still have some nuance and growth to them, especially Jazz two arcs ago with Rock.
But Sullivan, from the start of the series, up until now, has stayed the same. Spoils Iruma, dotes on him, makes him the priority in his life.
Iruma is Sullivanās priority.
Whenever heās actively threatening or attacking an enemy, itās because of Iruma. Nothing else.
Sullivan is imprisoned and gets a note to come back? Drop everything and forget the investigation! Iruma needs him!
Atori attacks Babyls and almost kidnaps Iruma? Sullivanās there to nearly kill him.
Butā¦ Sullivan doesnāt do any real heavy lifting. He sends the teachers and Opera to do the rest, such as dispatching Ocho when he invaded Babyls. Especially Kalego, a fact that makes the latter absolutely loathe Sullivan.
As I said before, itās Kalego who lays out the seeds and tells us exactly what Sullivanās flaws are. He is reckless, impulsive, airheaded, and is extremely partial to Iruma, a fact that, in itself, causes some problems.
Recall how Sullivan was very ready to help Iruma cheat on the exams were it not for Opera? And how Sullivan let Shiida stay as a teacher thanks to Irumaās request? He bends over backwards for Iruma. Not to mention how often Sullivan caused Iruma problems (see S1 and the interview after Walter Park in S2).
This, too, is another factor in how I think Sullivan doomed himself. The Trickster Plan, despite its description, is inherently flawed, because itās heavily partial towards the grandkids of the Three Greats, despite the misfits being chosen by the tutors and 2 other Crowns having children of their own. After all, the announcement of the Trickster Plan was made after the spotlights illuminated specifically the Greats and their grandchildren. Not the Azazels or Asmodeousā (Henri gets a pass tho), just them.
But back on Kalegoās statements, at no point since then does Sullivan actively become less reckless, less impulsive, or more clear headed.
After Baalās statement in the recent chapter, it even has me relook at the Scala arc, and Henriās usage of Derkilaās crest in that scene. Even if it was Henri that wanted to use it, given that Irumaās Scala took place there, whoās to say Sullivan wasnāt ready to get Lady Levi and Belial on board to agree to the stamp to protect his grandson?
In short, Sullivanās growth is slim to none, and thatās caused him to mess up so badly and be exploited and cornered by Baal.
Or perhaps this is in part due to the fact that Sullivan is constantly away doing other things, such as his duties as one of the Three Greats. So we end up having less of him, especially in later chapters.
Edit: Forgot to add this. But Sullivan knows what his flaws are and he hasnāt changed despite that. He accepts himself, and thatās what screws him up because he accepts a flawed version.
Maybe its a good thing Shura's first love wasn't Iruma. That Baal took his place.
Chapter 325: the flowers Shura is very yandere.
There's a post somewhere about this, but i need to find it.
Basically, if Iruma were to be in those tea parties, aside from how he can easily charm those around him, he is a good listener and is always interested to learn new things about the Netherworld. With Shura being a deity, Iruma will rightfully assume she knows alot more, and hence will possibly ask her about more things (like herself) and would lead to Shura misunderstanding potential romantic interest.
With additional fact that Iruma is already labelled as a Demon Slayer in Babyls, already has a 'harem' with Ameri Azazel actively having her eyes on him and Iruma spending ALOT of time with Clara, that would be disastrous. Doesn't help the fact that he is also very close to his Master Bachiko, another female demon.
If Iruma were to reject the advances of Shura, depending on her reaction, not talking to him anymore will be the best reaction. But with how the flowers are so yandere in their meaning, an accidental war could spark. Also, its another bad thing cause it will be a reason to add a 'This Human is dangerous.' And 'This Human caused great chaos in the Netherworld' and needs to be either deported or sent to the deities for their own judgement, where Sullivan could possibly have no way to protect him.
Aka, let's just wait Baal to have his downfall :D (still hate him though. But what a smart villain)
