Annabelle had her pinned under one paw “Ah!! Annabelle! Not fair! You awalys win!” she whined, crossing her arms as best as she could before the albino grizzly lifted her paw. The bear looked up and noticed him, grunting in confusion at him being there “Oh him? This is Saix, he owns me for like…two days is it?”
That was the bear she spoke of. Saix didn’t expect it to be so friendly to her, acting more like a pet dog than anything else. He did nothing to assist her being pinned by the bear, simply watched from a distance. In response to her question, he nodded. “Yes. For two days, you shall do what I say. For now, all I want is to know more of your world.”
The bear huffed, nudging her as she stood up and dusted her clothes off “Aw, he’s nice, he hasn’t been mean to me yet.” Another soft growl “Hm? What do you mean the shadows are moving? I haven’t asked them for anything yet…” she tapped her cheek in thought. “Weird…” a shadow moved behind the bear and her eyes widened some. “Whoa…what is this? Saix, look at this lil thing! It’s so cute…” it was a small black form, bright yellow eyes was the only thing noticeable about it. Gently, she picked it up “Aww…is this your lil friend, Annabelle?” she cooed, bringing it closer and hugging it.
Saix was unimpressed with the bear’s attempts to threaten him, at least in his eyes. He looked behind her, a small smirk formed on his face as the Heartless jumped out of the forest. So he was right about this place. More mental notes for the report he needed to write when he returned to the Castle That Never Was. Simply a shadow, but the implications meant there could be more.
“Curious,” he stated, “it must be waiting for the right moment to take your heart. Do you know of any keyholes in strange places?”
