This latest Fionna and Cake episode has gotten me think about Marsh. Spoilers below.

While the wiki says that Marshall Lee is in his 30s, this is how I imagine the brothers to be age wise:

Marshall Lee: 28

Samuel: 22

Marsh: 18

Roscoe: 10

Hana was obviously a very controlling mother to where even as an adult, Marshall Lee is apologizing for things he shouldn't need to.

All of the brothers were put through this controlled childhood but one more thing to add here is how Hana often pitted the eldest three against each other. She would often choose sides during arguments and often compare the boys to each other.

Most of the times, her favorite son would be Marsh as like Marsha, he wanted to please and be loved by his mom so he tried his hardest to being his mom's perfect son. It wasn't until he was a teen where he started to becoming disillusioned to that.

The favoritism and comparisons did cause a rift between Marshall and his younger brothers that didn't get repaired until they were all adults.

As for Roscoe, Hana has tried to turn him against his older brothers and while it worked in regards to Marshall and Samuel, it hasn't worked for Marsh due to Marsh still being a constant and positive influence in Roscoe's life.
