the little comic slice of life Lyne hides a demon! At the moment I am just in the beginning stages trying to craft some sort of comic or something out of it. I do not know if anyone cares for it as it does not quite fit in with the other art I do on other blogs. It's not meant to be extraordinary, just something I do to learn more. To my readers:

While I think Lyne hides a demon is not perfect I am glad for anyone who read or might stumble upon it! I did not expect the lovely feedback but I am really humbled by it. I sometimes do not know what to say though because I get so excited then my brain collapse.

In ways I am figuring out my style still. I know my work suffers from it and that I sometimes cringe at my output. And I have days where the 'time pressure' to always deliver something at a timely manner, sometimes removes the passion out of the work a bit. I want to put my heart and care into certain parts but that time also keeps me accountable so I do not know… I kind of hope that people do not follow out of obligation and I am glad to know it's someone who reads, and who isn't a bot or something. I know the first pages of this is going to be soooo bad. But, it might get better towards the end? And while I hope people will stay for that, I really can't make you and I do not want to. Keep it cheeky out there or sum!

#still unsure of it I think it does not work due to the way you got to kind of zoom out of the story in some way to get the full picture #very much of how like I had a certain chapter with a lot of color like it gotta be not too jarring and intentful #color has a big impact #I wonder if I should go back to page by page making rather than try making it the webtoon way #that people will have on the 'page' the scrolling page huh that is minimized to a phone screen...#like what am I going for here? Design? Or storytelling? One must come first yk #maybe I succeeded making it kind of... well there is a vibe I am going for but we are working on it #I just realised design wise I am trying to recreate a bit of how it was like to grow up in a certain places throughout my childhood #I found a old book my old relatives had and realised the color of these books are something I try achieve in my designs at times #like whoah psychology and genetics and stuff #Youtube

At times I find it's way funnier to work unchronologically. Because I might have more ideas for a certain idea, but when there's a certain pages where I feel it is less 'flashy' or something then I find myself being less creative than usually because it's not as exciting. That's not good for the story. Letting my head come up with whatever it wants to come up with instead of iterating on stuff. I never have quite a clear image of what I want a scene to be, but I have some ideas in my head.

As with Moray's design. I have one quite intense image in my head I try to achieve. Whereas when it comes to how Lyne's head looks from behind, I feel less excited about even if that is what makes the series perhaps more varied. Because if it's all flashy images then nothing is flashy. But it could be perhaps a more interesting way of framing it, all dramatic shadows and whatnot. A reader can tell when the artist gets lazy about the story, then the reader gets lazy about it. These are the basics I knew from before but I already stated enough times the undercooked work in progress that this comic is. You can't over impose on your own meaning for your art's existance all the time.

Have been doing iterations on a book/web comic cover for the second series that comes after Lyne hides a demon. It really helps, because you can get to see it work in different ways. Experiment, and then figure out how also the borders and different media that you do besides it might look like. I was inspired a lot by the font 'gabriola' for my title.
