*:・゚✧ HAPPY BIRTHDAY IZAYA *:・゚✧
05/04/2021
Something I made back in 2017 but never finalized. Spruced it up in honor of Izaya's birthday.

Yes, he's sitting on sushi.
Although a lot can be said of Izaya and his proclivities nothing holds the same weight as Shiki’s offhand remark—nor is anything quite as succinct in truth.
“…I’ll let him flounder for now. But…he’s still a kid. I’ve met him a few times, and he’s clearly just a kid. And you never know what a kid might do when he gets carried away.” [Vol. 6, pg. 226-226]
Shiki’s quote is a perfect representation of what Izaya sacrificed in order to see an end to his means—just how much of himself he put into the intricacies of his grandiose plans.
How through his hyper fixation he neglected specific types of personal growth and development usually made in early adulthood: emotional and behavioural maturity.
Going in-depth of what Shiki simply defines…
Izaya comes across as a collected schemer—yet a pitiable child that acts too old behind the protection of his chessboard. Chaos and all, he’s an immature man with an unbelievable lucky streak that rides upon fumes, about to run out.
That’s not to say his story is tragic—because he deserves the outcome of his childish goals that he selfishly actioned upon and would adamantly stand by; and while the repercussions may have been dealt unfairly, he’d abhor his life and work being attributed to a theatrical downfall.
For what it's worth, this analysis had no connection to the Izaya spinoff series, I haven't even read them nor know what happens in them. I did not mean for this to say that he deserves to be disabled, it wasn't even a thought in my mind, so I hope that it's not taken that way! It was really just a quick blurb about a quote that I scribbled four years ago. I wish all you well.

A quick edit from the 3way Standoff manga. I had the song in my head while finishing the initial edit and the lyric seem to match. [MY EDIT | DON’T REPOST]

☆HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROCCHI☆
Forever and a year ago I took this pic…dug it up from the depths of my gallery to do something for Rokujo’s bday. \(=~=)/
Another one of my best boys birthdays, this time it’s chikage rokujo from durarara!!
today i made a little shrimp for my friend
here’s the pattern i made for it — for the legs just cut out a rectangle and sew the legs into it, if you cut out all the legs like that your machine will eat it lol
the purple stripes on the body section are just decorative lines to sew on to look more crustacean-y
the one in the picture on the original post, i was a little messy on the head so it’s not very pointy but you can fix it easily
