“yeah, actually we are. like totally on the same show and everything. you havent been here though, in the house, i mean i would have noticed you like totally noticed you, i mean how could i not considering-” mouth was moving a mile a minute, brow furrowed slightly as she worked to keep up with it, to make sense of the words that were leaving her mouth. no, she had no idea of his presence, had avoided the cast list, wanting ot to be genuine, fun, a legit surprise. bay didn’t want to fret over the instagrams of her castmates, worrying about whether ot not they would get along. she would just show up and enjoy, regardless, but with each day the producers were making it harder and harder. first nicole, then a running with alex, she could have sworn she saw casey in the club, an unpleasant, uncomfortable cast of her past growing before her very eyes. the idea that any of this, the idea of being voted in, it all being random and equal, was bullshit. this was completely crafted, handpicked to ensure ratings, hype, talk. and it was too late to end anything, contracts and such. bay shut her mouth, forced a smile and gave a nod. “yes, i am on the same show, crazy coincidence right?” more like perfectly crafted. “awkward right? like really awkward. man, producers really look into like everything in your past right? even the really awkward and embarrassing ones.” she swallowed, glanced behind him at the sea of people and movement and commotion behind him. “how, um how are you liking amsterdam?” tried to switch the subject, pushed her curls behind her ear and focused on him. him and his stupid handsome face.
THE SLUR OF HER WORDS intermixed with the background beat of drums and echoing tunes. the dj was switching around the beats, and the walls grumbled with the pounding effects. in california, denver did not make an effort to frequent nightlife locations, for he was more reserved as a person compared to those who are fond of the constant drinking and dancing with strangers. he would rather light a bonfire on the shore of malibu alongside his closest friends and using skateboards as seats as opposed to logs. yet, in amsterdam, the skateboarder knew he had to patronize a club, for the red light city is notorious for the nightlife. to find someone from the cast in the same club as he was surprising, though, for he intended to be an individual rather than delivering dramatics with a cast member for the sake of entertaining the cameras. at least it was bay and not a cast member he is yet to befriend. that would have been more awkward. “yeah, awkward...” he spoke little words, for he was more focused with the state bay was in. he was concerned, to be fair. placing a hand on her shoulder, he looks into her chocolate hues, his forehead wrinkled, “why don’t we take a seat, yeah? you seem to be a bit too drunk.” he attempted to guide her to the seats in the vip section, wanting her to settle before she tumbled over drunk. “i was going to say i’m enjoying the city, but i’m sure you are enjoying it more than i.” a nervous chuckle as he crouched down in front of her---her being on the seat, that is. “how much have you had to drink?”
