Let me list what the characters could’ve done to bring hope or show that they’re regretting despair (I know the world still blames them for despair but they could’ve done it secretly)

Hajime: He is ultimate hope, he has tons of talents that benefit hope and maybe comfort the reserve course students’ relatives.

Nekomaru & Akane: Fight remaining despairs and train people to defend themselves

Kazuichi: Build windmills, air purifiers and water generators to clear pollution (stated in DG1 air pollution is also a problem)

Hiyoko & Ibuki: Bring happiness and hope through entertainment especially to children

Sonia: Go back to the Novoselic Kingdom to see and help the war torn country.

Mikan: Provide free medical services to people who are injured mentally and physically

Fuyuhiko & Peko: Form a “hope group” and recruit those infected by despair.

Nagito: Obtain needed resources through his “luck”

Gundham: Help animals affected by the tragedy

Teruteru: Feed those starving and homeless. He could also go back to his diner and regret his actions (For extra feels)

Mahiru: Take pictures and videos of hope and spread it.

Ultimate Imposter: Infiltrate places fill with despair and try to bring hope there.

I sincerely hope an OVA like this will come out but they went back to the island like nothing happened…

HOPE ARC REVIEW (sort of)

SPOILERRR ALERT . . . . . . . . . . . . Ok WHAT WHAT WHAT, MY WAIFU KIRIGIRI IS ALIVEEEEE AND ALL THE REMNANTS OF DESPAIR ARE AWAKE LIKE WHAT. The ending itself felt lacking, there was not that much emotions. I get why they called it hope arc because well everyone's alive but they should have showed us more sadness and emotion. Maybe Chisa in the afterlife becoming hope and saying she's proud of her students or actually showing the remnants of despair regretting their actions like maybe for the ones who killed their parents, visit their graves or something like that but they seemed too happy (not sure if they do have memories as despair) and they all look too young, I mean Naegi and Kirigiri look grown AF but the 77th class not so much. I hope an OVA will come out showing what they actually did as despairs like a full episodes not just clips, seeing how they suffered and make others suffer or as I said before maybe an episode of them regretting the despair they brought. But nonetheless I liked the anime sad seeing it end and just waiting for V3.
