I love Obsession because with the way that you often see dubious consent tropes like love potions, mind control, sex under false pretenses, ect... It is so nice to see a work of fiction actually address these situations as being as traumatic and violating as they would realistically be and intentionally use it as a metaphor for abuse/SA

plot? what plot? two teenage girls with NO chemistry whatsoever make out like twice with mild inconveniences thrown in for run-time purposes. characters weren't likable except for the dad MAYBE. dead mom plot kinda went nowhere. drinking problem thing went nowhere.

in all honest i had to leave early w/ my two other friends because none of us could bare to finish watching. and they actually wanted to see it. but even from what i saw idk how some of yall are hailing it as the pinnacle of lesbian cinema
