"Either or is fine," Inaba replied with a shrug before she added in reply, her tone more serious as she spoke, slightly nervous, "And I prefer being called ‘Inaba’." It was her last name, sure, but she felt more comfortable being called by her last name than her first. Especially since she never felt right by being called Himeko. It made her feel weak, and weakness was the last thing she wanted to show to anyone, especially to someone of a neighboring country.

She was paying real close attention to Haruhi. Not because she was wary, but because of her own feelings. She saw everyone as an ‘enemy’, and she didn’t trust anyone, either. It was a problem, and she knew that. Her parents probably figured that out a little, too, considering how much of a shut-in she was. Whatever, she didn’t care.

Might as well be polite for the time being…

She arched and eyebrow for a moment, then replied with a warm smile, “Inaba it is then! If you don’t mind, I’m a little tired today so we can head to my chambers.”

The two headed down a few hallways before reaching the one where the family rooms were kept. For the most part they walked in silence, which really bothered Haruhi. It was even worse that she couldn’t come up with anything decent to say. Everything was too boring or political, and Inaba didn’t seem like she was into whatever was going on in that aspect either. 

Eventually she mustered up something generic, “If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask. I can tell you’re not one to talk much, but I’m sure you have a few things you’re curious about. I will do my best to answer them.”

Inaba nodded in reply, heaving a heavy sigh as she slowly walked silently. She wasn't sure what to talk about of course; she wasn't the type of person to talk to people, after all. She didn't  exactly have people she could call friends, after all, but... 

She couldn't lie and say that she didn't have questions, and that she wasn't curious. That's the type of person that she was, after all. There was that twinge of suspicion that she always got whenever she was around people.

Inaba never trusted people, after all. That was her problem, ever since the beginning. She worried too much, and she always had. So she didn't know what she could do. 

"Okay, that's fine by me. What to ask first~ You don't happen to have a boyfriend, do you?"

Thank you so much! A lot of it is just job-related and family-related business, so hopefully things do go well in the end. I'm really, really sorry guys -- but a quick announcement from me! I've been having a lot of stress on my shoulders and it's been really hard to get to everyone on Tumblr, especially since it's not on my top priority list. Having a lot of issues in real life right now is not helping, so I need to cut my time on Tumblr by a lot. 

Things have just been really bad on my part, so I'm calling a hiatus. If you want replies from me, they'll be even slower than usual, especially if they're prose. Some replies may be nonexistant, but I will get back to them if things go well.
