Since this is the dragon year pokemon fans tell me which dragon type pokemon would fit the most with each black bull 👀

-Asta: Mega Charizard-X, A non-dragon (Asta = non-magic) type capable of transforming into a powerful black form (Mega = devil union) via a secondary conduit + bond to another being (Megastone = 5 Leaf grimoire)

-Noelle: Kingdra, literally a water/dragon pokemon with a royal title in the name.

-Charmy: Definitely Alteria for fluff and/or Appleton for big eats.

-Gauche: Honesty probably a long shot, but Dragapult. Dragapult carries around its little relatives like how Gauche carries around pics of his sister.

-Zora: Hydregion, both are grumpy and are honestly violent and pretty brutal. Not too mention they both have pretty big mouth motifs going on.

-Fineral: Dragonite, despite both being potentially super powerful (A pseudo-legendary and Spacial Magic is actually really high offense-potential), Dragonite is often used in media as transportation (heck, in the first pokemon movie you see a mailman Dragonite).

-Gordon: Dragalage, mostly cause it's a poison/dragon type pokemon.

-Vanessa: This is a tough one, nothing really fits Vanessa too well. Maybe Goodra? since it's a pretty friendly and physically affectionate pokemon.

-Grey: Gonna be honest... I, uh... I got nothing.

Alolan Eggexcutor, cause I love them. Also it's funny to imagine super shy Grey having a two-story tall, very noticeable, palm tree following her around.

-Magna: Turtonator, a fire/dragon type that's main gimmick is it has an explosive shell. Magna seems fond of explosions, also funny to imagine hyperactive Magna having a turtle pokemon.

-Luck: Mega Ampharos, An electric/dragon, and MVP of a many battles (Thank you Denryu, for your service in my HeartGold game).

-Henry: Rampage, white hair? ✅️ very friendly? ✅️✅️ Becomes extremely violent if their friends are I'm damger? ✅️✅️✅️

-Secre: Swablu, wanted to give her an unused dragon... but swablu being a bird themed dragon that has a tendency to sit on people's head is way too fitting.

-Nacht: Naganadel, originally I had thought Dragapult would be more fitting (probably like a lot of others). But I think what sold me on Naganadel for Nacht is that it's an ultra beast. Ultra Beast come from different dimensions, kind of like how the Devils in Black Clover come from a different dimension.

Yami: Haxorus, it's got blades on it's face. "What? You wanted a deeper reason? Swords are cool, now get lost before I kill 'yer ass" -Yami Sukehiro, probably.

The Dragon and Tiger

Something I unfortunately only just now pieced together in my brain. While recounting their youth, we see a young Ryu and Yosuga, both being represented by a beast. A dragon for Ryu, and Tiger for Yosuga.

In the next view panels we learn that Yosuga has Iron Yojutsu. Which is extremely interesting if you've ever heard of the Chinese concept of the Four Cardinal Beasts. Many people have probably heard of them in one form or another, they're very common in most media; The Vermillion Bird, Azure Dragon, Black Tortoise, and White Tiger. They represent the seasons and the cardinal directions. They also correspond with the Elements that are fundamental in Taoism; Fire (Vermillion Bird), water (Black Tortoise), Wood (Dragon), and the main reason for this post Metal (The White Tiger).

How fitting for the Lord of Koshu, who is represented by a (possibly) White Tiger to bear a Metal based Yojutsu! Although, it's very possible that it's just a coincidence. Assuming we follow the same logic, Ryu should have had Wood Yojutsu (associated with the Azure Dragon) before he sacrificed his power. However, his sword is very clearly wrapped in flames of some kind.

interestingly enough, while the four cardinal beasts are the most famous and well-known interpretation, anyone who knows about the elemental system in Taoism would have picked up on something by now, there are actually supposed to be a Five Beasts. The group is also known as the Five Auspicious Beast, which includes the Golden Dragon who is associated with the center of the cardinal directions, midsummer and the element of Earth.

Black Clover's Four Archangels

After today's recent chapters, and doing some bear minimum research, I have had this thought in my mind for quite some time.

Although not outright stated, it's pretty clear that Lucius' Paladins are based in angels. And we now know that he has at least four at the moment: Sister Lily, Damnatio Kira, and two others.

While the fact that there are four may be a coincidence, I nonetheless did some digging and it's my belief that these four are meant to be based off the four archangels Michael, Gabriel, Uriel, and Raphael.

●Sister Lily and Gabriel

As the very first Paladin, Sister Lily is really the only one we can breakdown with strong evidence so far.

Sister Lily most likely represents Gabriel, Archangel of Resurrection.

"Resurrection" is very important to remember, seeing how Sister Lily is capable of using healing magic. Alongside resurrection, another pretty spot on connection is that Gabriel is often associated with the Aquarius constellation and the element of water which obviously ties into her magic and name: Lily Aquaria.

However, the most damning connection, and the main reason I'm typing this up, while Gabriel is often depicted as male it is just as common to depict Gabriel as female. And, one of Gabriel's most prominently used symbols happens to be a very particular type of flower

Gabriel is represented holding Lily flowers.

●Damnatio Kira and Micheal

The only other character we know of with Lucius is Damnatio, and while he hasn't been shown as a Paladin yet, it is very likely he will be one of them.

Damnatio has some of the strongest connections to his counterpart; Michael, Archangel of Justice.

If that doesn't speak for itself, I honestly don't know what will. Although he doesn't have the same elemental connection (Michael being connected to Fire), Damnatio in Latin means Condemnation: "The action of condemning someone to a punishment; sentencing."

The archangel Michael is often depicted weighing the souls of mortals with his scales.

●The Other Two

Sister Lily and Gabriel, Damnatio and Michael.

While we have no idea so far who the last two figures next to Lucius are, if my theory is right then they will represent the archangels Raphael and Uriel.

Raphael is the archangel of Love, Joy, and Laughter. Connected to the element of Wind, and is most interestingly known as the "Keeper of the Tree of Life". Very specifically this is the Sephirot, which is connected to the reincarnated elves, so one of the figures is most likely Patoli or has a connection to the elves.

Uriel is the Archangel of Nature. Connected to the element of Earth, and is the "Keeper of Prophecy". I don't have a whole lot of theories for this one, but if I had to guess; They're most likely connected to Charlotte, since we still have her whole cursed family thing unresolved. My second, less likely, guess is that they're connected to Mimosa and Kirsch...because Plants, and nature I guess???

everyone is always curious about the Silva Family parents, which makes sense since Noelle is one of the Light Triad, and we have so much on both Nozel and Momma Acier while simultaneously having squat on Papa Silva.

But, honestly, I'm WAY more curious about the Vermillion Siblings' parents! We have nothing on them, and to be honest...the Vermillion Siblings are just weird.

Fugeoleon, at the start of the series, is 30 years old while his sister is only a little older at 32.

So, their parents had Mereoleona and about a year or two later had Fugeoleon. Which is pretty simple to understand, not weird at all. But then we have Leopold, who is a 16 years old...

MEANING, the Vermillion Parents had Mereo, then two years later had Fugeoleon...and then waited 14 WHOLE YEARS before suddenly deciding to have another baby.

I don't know, is it just me??? that just seems like a weirdly large gap of time, especially considering how small the gap between Mereo and Fugeo had...

Lucius and Adramelech

The fact that Lucius and Adramelech are conspiring together is really intriguing especially when we consider Lucius' design.

The most striking part of Lucius' design besides the weirdly attractive evilness, is the fact that he has a sun emblazoned on his forehead.

This is, of course, in contrast to Julius who had a star on the opposite side of his forehead. But the most intriguing part of this is Adramelech's involvement.

Adramelech as a demon was originally worshiped as a pagan God representing the Sun. So I think it's definitely not a coincidence that Lucius and Adramelech are working together, although the sun could easily just be a symbol of Astaroth, seeing how the rising and setting of the sun can also be a representation of the passing of time.

Lucius and Julius

I should first start off by saying there is obviously gonna be spoilers involved in this post, and I should honestly wait for the official translations to come out before I put my thoughts together.

That being said, I'm impatient and positively brimming with thoughts. So, here's my probably inaccurate analysis and theories on the biggest reveal on Lucius Zogratis and Julius Novachrono.

First, a pretty minor thing not connected to my main points, I just want to start off with the name "Lucius", which is Latin in origin and is derived from the word: Lux...

Lucius is a Latin name meaning "Light", which now makes a Triad of leaders; Lumiere, Licht, and Lucius.

1.) Lucius' Magic

Now before I can get into the relationship between Julius and Lucius, I think it's extremely important that we first get into the possible identity of Lucius' magic.

And, to no one's surprise, the most likely candidate for Lucius' magic attribute is "Soul Magic." This has been theorized for a while now, and for good reason, as it fits the Zogratis Siblings magic scheme of aspects that make up a human being: Body, Bone, Blood, and the soul.

The best support for this theory is from Zenon's memory of his brother, "We four, the Zogratis Siblings...can use our magic to remake humanity." This statement is going to be extremely important for my next points. An alternative form of magic would most likely be "Mind Magic", this still fits the Zogratis theme and would explain why all of Zenon's memories of his brother are so hazy, it's possible that Lucius altered his mind/cognition of himself.

2.) Lucius/Julius - "Who's who???"

This has been the biggest point of debate ever since the reveal about Julius and Lucius, "was Julius always Lucius pretending to be a Clover citizen? Or was Julius an unfortunate victim of Lucius' machinations?"

My personal opinion is: Both

In both scenes above, an important thing to note is that Julius is alone, and is thinking to himself. If Lucius had truly always been masquerading as Julius, what would be the possible benefit of his concern? He has no one to convince or try to deceive by feigning concern.

And so, we get to my previous point about Lucius and his magic...

I truly believe that Julius is his own person completely separate from Lucius. However, my current working theory is that Lucius CREATED Julius using his soul magic and Astaroth's Time Magic in order to infiltrate the kingdom as an observer.

"...Tell me you had nothing to do with it." - "Is that not...how you wished things were?"

I interpreted these lines of dialogue outside of frames not being Damnatio's thoughts, but instead Lucius' musings as he watches both Julius and Damnatio connect the thoughts.

And then, we have this scene...

Julius' remembering his revelation about Patri anf William, "Who'd have thought he had two souls in one body?"

Lucius most likely knew he had no chance at infiltrating the kingdom himself. He, like his siblings, was far too aware of his own nature and would have most likely slipped up at some point. And so, Lucius used his magic to create an artificial soul with it's own autonomy, and with the aid of Astaroth reverted his body into a child and implanted Julius' newly created soul as the dominant personality, allowing himself to grow up in the Kingdom and better build a relationship with it's people, all while Lucius lurked in his subconscious as an observer.

And if we consider the possibility that Lucius' magic being able to manipulate thoughts and the mind, it make even more sense. It would explain why Julius was so enraptured by Magic, his mind was most likely altered to unconsciously seek out rare types of magic, specifically Dark Magic and World Tree Magic, all for the sake of the Advent of the Qliphoth.

Why he did all this, and to what ends, is all up in the air for now. We'll have to most likely wait the whole 3 months of Black Clover's hiatus before we can get anymore concrete details. In the meantime, thank you for bearing with my nonsensical ramblings! I'm extremely curious where all this goes, and can't wait to see what other theories people have!

Okay so there's two things in this spread I wanna go off on and

1) Yami seems to be holding a wooden sword, likely curtesy of William which means Patri and William ARE alive!

2) this page probably showcases Yami's regret of not having been there when Morgen went on the mission that killed him. The parallel of Nacht "sacrificing" himself so that Asta lands that last blow and Morgen sacrificing himself to stop the ritual puts not only Nacht in Morgen's shoes but also gives Yami the chance of "what would you do if you had been there?" Which likely haunted him for a WHILE. So while Yami couldn't save Morgen, he can give Morgen peace by saving Nacht (either as penance for not saving him or because Morgen's "you understand my brother better" initially gave Yami the idea to keep Nacht safe in Morgen's stead)

Love this shit honestly. We're pulling for the Father, the son, the Holy ghost team up for next chapter. Its wild
