Step by step to kill/ward off a vampire
By Dr.Serotinus
Kill
1st Staking: Impaling the vampire in the heart with a wooden stake (commonly from ash, hawthorn, oak or it can just be a sharp piece of wood) is the most iconic method. This paralyzes the creature, buying you time.
2nd Decapitation: By severing the head from the body, the vampire’s physical and supernatural abilities are destroyed ensuring that the vampire cannot heal or return from the dead with any sharp object you able to get your hand on and make the final blow.
Congratulations on your first kill.
Note: While they are immortal, their dependency on blood for sustenance theorized the means that prolonged starvation could lead to a withering death. This could suggest that vampires can die from a lack of blood, but the method takes time and it rarely happens.
And if you are not having enough strength or courage, or didn't know what to do there several items can be used to ward off:
Garlic: one of the most famous vampire repellents, undead possess heightened or preternatural senses. The pungent, sulfurous aroma of garlic is highly offensive and painful to them causing intense sensory discomfort and forced retreat.
Holy water: Splashing holy water on a vampire can burn or dissolve their flesh, acting as a potent weapon.
Silver: Is more commonly associated with werewolves, but it can appear as a vampire-killing tool. The mineral is thought to have purifying properties, making it an effective weapon against undead, silver was observed to have powerful antimicrobial and antibacterial properties, acting as a natural disinfectant. Which can burn their skin or cause permanent damage.
