“That is literally like the most amazing thing I have heard all day, where did you learn it?”
Thanks.
"No problem. You don't need to worry about it."
"I think that might be the very first time someone has greeted their murderer with ‘ol buddy’."
"Well, you know. Can't stay mad forever."
"What are they trying to feed me now."
"Probably crap from a box."
Not talking has never done anyone any good. Take it from me.
"Thank you for the advice, but talking about it doesn't seem like the best idea right now."
If you tell anyone you saw me like this I will go and murder you in your sleep. Got it?
"Don't worry, I won't mention this to anyone."
"Hello."
"That’s not holy water. What exactly was the point of this?"
"Just wanted to see how you would react ol' buddy."
Derek’s hasty enter into the room confused him — what was so urgent that he needed to rush in? Ted, of course, didn’t share his sense of urgency, and merely shut the door behind him before heading back to his chair. He offered up a smile, shrugging lightly. "What you did? Water under the bridge," he said, though he was quite sure that anyone else would have been a bit more… reluctant to let the matter go, especially with the whole teleportation thing. Honestly, though, he hadn’t given it much thought at all. It didn’t seem all that important. "Why don’t you tell me what’s on your mind?"
Derek played with his hands as he waited for the male to get over to his desk. "I just.. I haven't been feeling the best lately I guess you could say.' he said quietly as he looked up at him. "I've been doing some pretty bad things..'
The last few days had been rather uninteresting — or, rather, the routine hadn’t been interrupted. He’d seen a few of his patients, though he knew some were choosing to think that the sessions were optional, even if they weren’t. In the outside world, maybe, but not in here. A sharp, but hesitant knock on the door alerted him to someone else’s presence, and his expression changed from one of stoic brooding to something more… welcoming. When he opened the door, however, it fell away into one of pleasant surprise — it was Derek. "This is a surprise," he said, but stepped back to allow him in all the same.
Derek looked at the male as the door was opened and he bit his lip. He walked into the room and sat down in one of the chairs as quick as he could get there. "I know it's a surprise, but I really need some help right now and I know what I did the last time we saw each other was horribly wrong, but I just really need help right now."
Derek found himself laying in his bed, sighing to himself. He hadn't gone to isolation like the male had told him to, but he was in his room alone by himself for the past few days anyways. He decided that he really needed help for what was going on. He was drinking a lot, he was cutting himself, though it healed quicker than he wanted it to. Sometimes... He hated being an angel. He wanted to be human again, but that was something he was never going to tell the twins. He wanted to spend eternity with them, but there were times he wished that he could just be normal again. The angel found himself in front of the psychiatrist that was trying to help him the last time and he knocked on the door, waiting for some response.
"Too bad, so sad."
"Just one little hug? I need something to mend my heart. You hurt my tiny wittle fewings. You owe me."
"If anything, you owe me." He said as he looked at Evelina.
"And do you want that gold star?”
"Yeah… That’s not going to happen. Hey Derek, will you be nice enough to give the big bad wolf some cuddles?"
"I would like you to just shut up." He said as he rolled his eyes. "No."
"I smell fine. I showered this morning. And, these aren’t my clothes, if you couldn’t already tell, so it could be that too."
"Because you’re amusing me."
"I took a shower just half an hour ago, so I think I have you beat." He said as he shrugged his shoulders. "Alright. Whatever. I figured since I saved your life you would leave me alone, but I can just put you back."
"You also smell horrible. Let me just say that, angel. Tell me why you all smell like that. Like, you smell like you slept in a garbage can for months before you decided to face the world."
"Aw, that’s sweet. I irritate you? Well good. You have any other insults that aren’t going to do a single thing to me? Oh, and don’t use the ‘a raccoon is still cuter than you’, or anything about raccoon’s. Be original."
"And you think you smell the best? It's because you are a demon. Oh my lord. You think angel's smell horrible because naturally they are you enemy. You smell nasty to me as well, so don't think you are that amazing." Derek shook his head slowly. "No. How about you just go away?"
"Fine. We’ll see about that." Evelina smirked. "I am hilarious," she said sarcastically. "Sure ya do." She looked around her as everything disappeared, quickly standing to her feet. She looked down at her raw, bloody wrists, which were starting to heal before she walked closer to Derek. "Thank you."
"That was easy enough. You sure you don’t want anything though? Not sex, but, something. Of course, I have to be good in that department. So, other than that, what can I give you?"
Derek watched her look at her feet and stared at her ankles and her wrists healing. "Yeah, whatever." He said quietly as he walked to where his body was hanging not too long ago and grabbed his notebook that he had left there. "I don't want anything from you. I'm an angel and I was doing a nice thing, even though you're a demon and you irritate me.".
"Looks like somebody doesn’t know how to only speak for himself. I have done no wrong to them.” Evelina stopped with her struggle, dropping her head back onto the cement ground. “But I don’t care if everyone is sick and tired of me. Less assholes that I have to deal with. I hope everyone fuckin’ hates me. Good for them. Do they want a gold star?”
"Well at least he isn’t an ass like you. You wanted this body a few months ago when you decided that the basement was a fun place to bring me. Why don’t you want it now? Come on. Just please get me out of here and then I’m all yours. I still hate you… But I’m willing to do anything to get out of this trap."
"Their job is to rid the demons in the place and they won't bat an eye to torture you if they see you. You're a demon. They don't care if they knew you before." He said as he looked at her. "Oh you are just so funny, aren't you?" He said to her and laughed. "I don't want your body. I've got the twins. I don't need your body." He rolled his eyes and he waved his hand, everything around her disappearing.
