"I didn't really wonder, I knew no one would. But yes. I've read all the good books in here and I wasn't in the writing mood. Does is really surprise you in this place? I mean, Im not one of the many who gets off on hunting people and hurting them, so. "
"I don’t know why you’d even bother. You’re not exactly the most social person, you know."
"Its a simple reason really. I don't have anything better to do."
"Oh, more of the same. What about yourself?"
"Trying to see if I disappeared if anyone would notice. I was right, no one did."
David shrugged. "Just because something’s somewhat edible doesn’t mean I want to eat it — I mean, technically grass is somewhat edible, but I won’t eat that.”
"Valid point." She shrugged. "So what had the notorious David Burke been up to?"
He eyed whatever it was — it had to be food, right? — disgust apparent on his face. "…I don’t think I want to risk that."
Genevieve laughed a bit before nodding and throwing the plate in the trash. "Thats what I thought. You had too much faith in the place."
"Whatever it is, it’s probably somewhat edible. Probably."
"Doubtful." She said holding it out to him. "Unless you'd like to try it first of course. Prove yourself right?"
"What are they trying to feed me now."
"What guarantee do I have that you’ll follow through?"
"Where else am I gonna go with them?"
"They are my car and apartment keys. Plus a few others. Yes, they are important."

"Car keys? How interesting. I think Im gonna keep them safe. Maybe take your car for a little joy ride outside the asylum. What do you think?"
"I’m well aware of where y’ are, but that don’t mean stealin’ my keys is gonna do y’ any good," he said, sighing as she placed the keys in her pocket. He shook his head, crossing his arms over his chest. "Y’really wanna play that way, d’ya? Fine." He reached into his pocket, pulling out a taser — did he really need it? No, but he didn’t need everyone to know what he really was. "Last chance, darlin’."
At the sight of the taser Genevieves jaw dropped. She reached into her pocket snagging one of the keys off the ring silently before placing them on the floor in front of her. "You're no fun. Far to serious. I just wanted a little friend."
"You’re sneaky. A woman after my own heart." Jeremy smiled, stepping closer to her. "I may not be worthy, but I can get you anything you want if you give them back."
"Ohh. These must open something awfully important if youre ready to give me whatever I want."
Yeah… Where did you find them?
"In the hallway. All by themselves."
"They were clipped to my belt. That is called pick-pocketing. Give them back."
"Hmm, no." She smirked, pulling the keys close to her hand. "Look around yourself. You're surrounded by people who lie, cheat, and hurt either themselves or each other. You didn't even notice I pulled these off with ease. Why are you even worthy to get them back."
"Look, I’m gonna ask one more time, an’ that’s the last time I’m gonna ask. Would you give the keys back to me, before I stop bein’ nice ‘bout it?"
"Oh, honey, Im in a mental hospital, I need a little adventure and fun every once in a while. These keys might be my pass to it. People are never nice here." She closed her hand around the keys slipping them into her pocket and crossing her arms and raising her eye brows.
"That’s real funny. Now hand ‘em over."
"No, you know, I think I'll keep these for myself. Figure out where they work."
