One of my headcanons for Hyperlazer and Katana

before the incident, his Gear was a regular blaster, which we can find in the catalog. After the incident, his gear was rebuild . And also, since gear is directly connected to the infernal, I think his very personality has suffered. At least the perception of oneself.

Katana can't trust and know someone who doesn't even know his real self. He appreciates sincerity and responds to it if he feels it.
