Fleur frowned a bit âSo it was my magic picking on me?â Fleur asked him âhow can I be picking on myself though? Your magic doesnât pick on you.â She said how come her magic picked on her? Fleur looked at the mess around him âSo that means I did this?â It didnât make sense magic always helped her father but it didnât seem to like to help her at all
He nodes. âYour magic doesnât pick on you love, it doesnât really have a mind of its own. Itâs just because you havenât practiced what you can do,â he said. âIâve been working on my magic for a long time so it does what I tell it to. You just need practice, and I can teach you.â
Fleur nodded a bit âButâŚdonât you do bad stuff with your magic too?â Fleur asked him she had heard people come into the castle before asking for help and referring to him as a monster, sometimes telling about things he did though fleur knew none of them knew she was listening, sometimes she would listen by accident but sometimes on purpose though she usually stopped when they started making her dad mad.
He hesitated. He should have thought of this. He took a deep breath. ââŚI donât any more,â he said. âBut I used to, which is why a lot of people call me bad things, I know youâve heard. But Iâve tried to do better things, because I want to make you proud, OK?â
Fleur nodded a bit âSo I wonât have to do bad stuff with magic?â Fleur asked him a little worried the only magic she had ever really encountered was his and evidently her own, she knew not to leave the castle without him people didnât really know about her and she understood why, there were many people who fesred a monster called the dark one and sometimes even called her father that, Fleur often wondered if they were one in the same but how could it be? Her dad couldnât be THAT mean after all.
âYou will never have to do bad things if you donât want to, my girl,â he said âGood or bad, itâs your choice, and I will always be there to help you, alright?â He helped her finish cleaning up the kitchen and started getting the ingredients for pancakes together.
Fleur relaxed a little bit more and nodded they finished what they were doing and she watched him get the other ingredients âWhat else can we add to make them yummy?â Fleur asked as she went to the pantry to look for other things they could add finding raspberries and black berries too âPpplllleeeaaassseee?â
He chuckled. âI thought you wanted blueberry pancakes,â he said âIf we put too many things in the pancakes them they could turn out mushy from all of the fruit juices. â
Fleur pondered for a moment seeming to debate âOk how about one more thing?â She offered as a solution âwhat goes well with blueberries?â Fleur asked him curious as she put the other berries back in the pantry, perhaps for later as a nice snack.
He thought about it for a minute. ââŚ.Hmm⌠We could melt some chocolate and use it instead of syrup, how does that sound?â
Fleur nodded instantly liking the idea "Chocolate makes everything better," Fleur agreed with a small giggle as she started to look for the chocolate finally finding some she stole a small piece for herself as well enjoying the sweet taste for a second before she ran it back over to her papa climbing up on a chair
