do you have a list of potential town themes? i'm restarting my town :)

Oh goodness! Okay let’s see what I can come up with,,,,

Seasonal: pick a season and stick to it! (both of my towns pretty much fall under this category - for my spring town I went with “romantic” and for my fall/winter town I went with “cabin/cozy”) – this also can include holidays like a christmas town or halloween town or easter town

Find an inspiring word: tropical, bright, pastel, forest, lakeside cabin, farm, beach, desert, sky, underwater, tundra, kingdom – sometimes looking up beautiful words or just going through word lists by categories can spark ideas (my 3rd town will be inspired by a word I stumbled across, so who knows what you’ll find!!)

Based on PWPS: modern, fairytale, zen

Media-themed: tv shows, movies, anime, books, horror stories, childhood stories, disney, fairytale, other video games

Colour-themed: azure (blue), crimson (red), violet (purple), jade (green), coral (pink/orange), etc! 

Characters you can make (that may inspire a town theme too): witch, wizard, angel, fairy (guardian of the town maybe?), elf, scientist, shapeshifter, medieval, farmer, fisherman, dancer, artist, etc!!

Give your character(s) a backstory: instead of a theme, you could make up a story for your town, maybe even one that represents you in a way! each character can have their own likes/dislikes and house!

Based on the town/city you live in: you could recreate shops that are near your house, try to recreate park areas, etc.!

HHD themes: check out what some of the villagers ask for in their HHD themed homes (if you have the game – or look at playthroughs or guides) and you can try to use that for town themes too!

Something extra?

Give your town character!: in Kokoro (the town where it is forever the cherry blossom festival) they don’t wear shoes, everyone is barefoot! and you’ll notice in the dream my character Hayley says it (”We don’t wear shoes here.”) Simple things like that can add to your own town ‘character’ without really needing a theme per-say!
