Tattoos still seen as a negative thing in Korea because there are people (especially older people) who see tattoos as something closely associated to members of organized crime. So they typically blur tattoos on TV, no matter who has them. Networks blur out a lot of other things too that they think might cause a fuss (like cigarettes if they are lit), even though it’s not specified by the Korean Communication Standards Committee.
