oc lore dump (doc edition) for the 2 bo-kyung fans she is in fact mentioned
so the origins of doctor from “the mortician and the zombie” are kind of funny. he was originally made as lore for my vtuber persona (called it the otsuverse- i remember i started making a dating sim for it and everything lolol the lore goes crazy) but then i realized i had a story that fit him a lot better and that needed an antagonist- so doc became part of that universe
doc is meant to be in his 40s maybe? 50s? i’ll be honest i’m not good at drawing older men but know he’s on the older side!! he does have a real name, but who cares? doc is doc!!
he IS actually a licensed doctor, despite him not normally acting like one. he’s more of a scientist though tbh
he has a total of 4”kids” (i guess u could say 5 if u wanna count my vtuber persona as one of his creations still hehe)! 3 zombies (chaz, bo-kyung, jasper), and 1 reanimated doll creature (echo). with each of his creations, he got closer and closer to creating his dream, ideal “child” (they’re all adults lol. minus echo who doesn’t age cuz he’s a. reanimated. doll…..)
he doesn’t have a favorite… but he does think jasper is the peak of his creations. something about that mexican emo zombie boy attracts him deeply….
the reason he wants kids so badly is cuz he’s infertile and gets no bitches so his chances of procreating are basically 0! so instead of adopting he was like hm let me find a bunch of mentally ill teens/young adults and sew them back together and force them to be my children
ohhh i should talk abt how he met all of his children hold on
so the first was echo, doc was pretty young at the time and so was echo. he was already dead when doc found him though. he was murdered in the dark of night. so doc had the BRILLIANT idea of putting his organs and what not inside of a life sized porcelain doll and brought him to life. he wasn’t very satisfied though as echo lacked a lot of human traits. he struggles to walk, talk, and repeats what others say frequently (hence the name). he was also “too obedient” for his liking
then there was chaz! chaz had a very troubled home life, his dad beat the shit out of him everyday and his mom was too scared to do anything about it. chaz’s main hobby was beating the shit out of people, pain, whether giving or receiving felt good. doc met chaz a few times when he was alive. their first conversation was started by doc, he scolded chaz for smoking at such a young age (chaz was like 17 at the time probably) and chaz yelled at him and called him a faggot pedopgile and tried to kick him in the balls. despite this, doc kept seeing him afterwards and eventually chaz became pretty attached, although he wouldn’t admit it at all. doc was like the dad he never had. during one of his usual recreational fist fights, the other guy got pissed and shot him. chaz bled out and died alone. doc later found his corpse and carried him back to his home to bring him back to life!
then there was bo-kyung. bo-kyung also had some family problems. her father always wanted her to “man up”, he said she was “too weak and fragile” still. when she 18 (and still legally a man) she was drafted into war, despite being incredibly mentally unfit for it. doc happened to be a nurse for bo-kyungs troop (doc just got bored and was like hey what if i just join a military rq) and after bo-kyung got a nasty gash while training, he offered to patch her up. bo-kyung pretty quickly developed a huge crush on him, he’s a lot older then her but his gentle touches made her heart flutter. she would get hurt constantly just to see him. once she actually got onto the battlefield, she was so scared and stressed she hid behind rubble and shot herself. doc watched and carried her back home. once she woke up after being revived, she frantically told doc that she was a girl and now that she had a second chance at life she was going to live as girly as she could. doc only wanted sons but oh well!!
and his final attempt was jasper. i don’t wanna spoil how he met jasper and stuff… but know jasper is everything he wanted in a child, and he loves him very much. jasper doesn’t remember much of him though, but he does dislike him. he likes viktor, viktor gives him choice and honesty and genuine comfort and criticism, everything that makes someone feel human. he finds docs kind of love shallow.
