Konzentrationslager Dachau. 1933-1945. Rest In Peace to the estimated 50,000 souls lost here. "Never Again." // 1. "Brausebad" meaning shower. Entrance to gas chamber. / 2. Barbed wire on perimeter fences. / 3. Light rays inside gas chamber coming from chutes where SS Officers would throw Zyklon gas pellets. / 4. Waiting room where prisoners were ordered to take off clothing and instructed on "shower" procedures. / 5. Paint chipping off cell wells in the detention bunker. / 6. Prisoners were greeted with the phrase "Arbeit macht frei" (meaning "Work will set you free") on the front gate that many would never be able to cross through again. / 7. Memorial at Dachau.
