while i primarily write red dead muses, and ocs within the red dead universe, i want to briefly talk about Griff King. He’s a character from Bonanza ( one of the longest running westerns from back in the day ) and he is a character that I love dearly, more so that the Bonanza writers, and the actor himself. But Griff is a chatacter with so much emotion, and absolutely zero knowledge on how to process any of it. But he’s so sweet once he’s comfortable, would do anything for people he cares about and I just love him.

“Face the wall.” Her hand rested on the handle of the shotgun. Yes, it was indeed loaded, and at this range, she damn well couldn’t miss. It takes but a moment after her initial shout for the saloon to fall silent, and of course, she had that shotgun trained on the instagator. Jack, the bar owner, wasn’t home. He’d been out hunting for the last few days, and it wasn’t the first time Daisy had handled the bar alone. It wasn’t even the first time she’d had to break up a bar fight, but it may be the bloodiest.

“So help you God, if you don’t have an explaination for this I’m going to fill you with enough lead to sink a God Damn merchant ship.” Not even close, It was a sawn-off double barrel, but she had one hell of a mouth, so she might s well use it. As she approached the aggressor, Daisy quickly kicks a fallen gun behind the bar, away from the unconcious man on the floor, should he decided to wake up, she wasn’t all that fond of catching a bullet in her back.

Joanna shifted around, trying to get comfortable with her hands behind her back. “I think you’re supposed to try to keep me healthy, yes? And the rope is really biting into my skin. It might cause gangrene.” She was exaggerating, but it was painful when she moved around. “And I’ll keep bothering you about it.”

There isn’t many around that knew of her former occupation. If they did, his position would possibly jepordised. It didn’t stop him from talking about it from time to time. Given his former life, he’s stuck somewhere between offended and impressed that someone would have the gall to steal from him. Certainly, when comparted to the Sheriff Freeman and his partner, he did seem like the lazy one - even now, as he rests his feet on a crate by his chair - however, it wasn’t so easy to pull one over on him.

He simply blew smoke as she spoke, turning his head as to not blow it toward her. “Well, thieves tend to lose their hand as punishment. If it falls off now, I guess it’ll save you the pain later.”

He didn’t mean that, and he wasn’t apathetic to the plight of nasty rope burns, but the fact of the matter was, she had attempted to steal from him, and he had subdued her without excessive force or firing a shot. All in all, he’s considering her to be pretty lucky. Last time he’d stolen, he’d been chased across several state lines, and had the scars to prove it.

He takes another puff, and rolls he cigarette between his fingers. “What were you trying to steal anyway? I don’t have anything of value. You wouldn’t get much for it.”

“In that case, you probably did him a favour. They don’t even taste good.” In truth, she’d seen plenty of men vomit them straight back up. Oil doesn’t feel nor taste good in the mouth, at one point, they had ban people drinking them on the premises for the sake of cleanliness and flies. “They are a waste of money. What ailment does that claim to solve?”

Daisy is pansexual with no preference whatsoever. Maria is very much a lesbian. Elijah is gay. Jack is technically bisexual, but he does prefer women. Maggie is Bisexual, slight preference for women, but she does like both.

Those tonics were not cheap.

He paused, just for a second, because that kind of confirmation should be enough for him to leave her alone - it would be for most people, but even as the man goes to turn away, there’s just an uneasiness he just couldn’t shake that catches him mid-step, his nature forcing him to turn back around. “No... No. I don’t think quite believe that, ma’am.”

His words do stumble, there’s a lack of confidence in the use of them, even riging out his hands once or twice before he worked up his next phrase. “I wouldn’t feel right just leavin’ - won’t you sit down? just for a moment?”
