2023 is here. Now What?
So we have entered into a new year 2023 and if you did it the Columbus Way... Your expectations are low for 2023 to be honest. Can't get any lower then a missed field goal with a chance at the title on the line.
But we are here firmly into 2023 as it was more like kicking and screaming but we are here. Let's talk and some goals that I have for myself this year.
Go back to doing Podcasts in 2023.
I loved doing a podcast and in short radio still. However, 2022 showed me there is more then one way to go about it and make it happen. Yeah, I have a job that I love... try saying that in 2023! I've always had that itch but really not a effective way of making it happen long term in 2022. I know with the tax return I'm investing it into podcasting again and Tumblr you will know first when it comes back. I'm aiming for Mid-2023 at the latest on this goal.
2. Get an Apartment.
This one is going to be hard to do but I think Can be done if I make some changes in 2023. Haven't had one in a while but it has been on my mind. It goes with something later on.
3. Get Healthier
This year I'll be 36. Amazing as I'll be older looking at 2023. I wrote in my year end post that 2022 was the year that I realized I was getting older and that everything just was just aching and hurting. I need to do something effective about it in a real fashion so It is time to bite the bullet and join a gym. I need to do that more for me.
4. get my financial house in order
This needed to happen for a LONG time and small steps have been made in this case but I needed to get this done for a while. My finances has looked more like this.
News flash, it is not fine and something got to give in 2023. I'm keeping my current job but I'm looking at legit sources of income outside of it as well.
I know my list will get longer but If even one of these four are done in 2023 I will be better for it.

They are still in bad shape and won't be getting any better tonight with lows staying stuck in the negative single digits with chills firmly in the -30’s. We have now reached the point of no return.
If you are a Fan of The City League, Tonight's news about the School Board and Teachers not reaching an agreement leading to a possible strike starting as soon as Sunday Night at midnight is definitely not good news. Not in the least bit. For the most part, week 1 will go off without any issues whatsoever. It is Week 2 where the strike would start to impact sports. Almost all the coaches you see out there are teachers not just on the field but in our classrooms as well. Without them how would the games happen and how can they happen safety? We could see a lot of forfeitures of games across the board. That would damage the chances of teams across the board. I'll be watching but it maybe a ugly situation for the kids of Columbus.
