I had the privilege of attending a workshop at Boisbuchet in 2017, and helped narrate the video along with Instructors Maria Blaisse and Li An Phoa.  Now what to choose for 2018?

This weekend I had the privilege of peeking into Goorin Bros. Hat Shop on S. Congress Ave in Austin. This family owned business has been making handcrafted hats since 1895. The quality of their craftsmanship and their attention to detail was second to none. Little did I know Goorin has hat shops across the US including my hometown of Philadelphia (Yay!). For a truly great experience and a killer hat check them out.

Design Philadelphia 2014. I was so happy to volunteer and be a part of this year's events. For those of you who do not know- Design Philadelphia is the oldest and largest design event of its kind in the country. The event annually showcases the work of over 400 practicing design professionals. Design Philadelphia 2015 will take place on Oct 8-16. For more info check out http://2014.designphiladelphia.org/

This is long over due but here you go. Maybe it's because I grew up in Queens and this is a part of the fabric of who I am. Maybe it's because I no longer live in NYC and I am feeling nostalgic and sad that the NYC I loved has changed so much. RIP 5 Pointz. Another luxury condo is born.

SVA POD Graduate Summer Workshop • June / 2012

During the Products of Design workshop, I played, learned, watched and participated in design thinking exercises with a group of amazing and talented designers. In the words of SVA's Allan Chochinov and Emilie Baltz "Each day, several facets of the design process were explored: rapid sketching, brainstorming, materials investigation, prototyping, model building, iteration, narrative creation, sustainability and environmental stewardship. We complemented the studio work with lively debates around the current mandates of design, the challenges of production and consumption, and design’s ability to create value and positive social change."
