Five lunches worth of sketching. I did cheat a little and pencil in the outlines for this oviraptor.
A quick felt tip pen sketch of a Tasmanian Devil.
Still very much a work in progress, and that pen nib needs to be cleaned.
And now even more dots. Everywhere.
Now with more dots
Might clean this up further. For additional context go and read this: Trump rips into Turnbull, calls refugee deal 'dumb'.
Now this one could have gone better. I was judging dimensions by eye and going straight in with pen, and I clearly got it wrong. Another reason I need more practice.
Playing around with varied plumage on a generic dinosaur. Mostly stealing from eagles and crows for ideas in that regard.
Playing around with solid block shading. Which would have been a lot more fun if I had something other than a 0.5 rotring drafting pen to fill in all that black.
Also something about Komodo dragons fighting, or waltzing.
So many different feather textures...
Wedge Tail eagles are very interesting, and fun to draw, especially when their feathers a fluffed up. It was just a shame that my finer point pens are not functioning so I have to shade this with a 0.50 point.
Pigs may fly, better get a sturdy hat.
This will need more work. I think I just about have the feel for how the body drapes at this point, but I need to do more work on the face.
Might be drawing a few cats over the next week or so. And to start with, some general studies.
Something a little different in terms of line work.
A quick no reference material sketch of a generalised Gorganopsid. Because it's fun and I have not done too much with my 0.5 pen. It's very different to shading with a finer point.
