Little Things that help in long distance relationships
- setting boundaries - making sure your partner is feeling okay multiple times a day (bc you can’t always see if they’re happy or sad) - honesty 24/7 365 - always tell them how you feel. They can’t fix it if they don’t know you’re upset or uncomfy. - presents (for Christmas and birthdays if you can. Some people are in the closet and valentine’s day gifts are too shady.) - skyping - phone calls - texting daily - talking out your fights and not storming off - no cheating (but like my dudes that’s a given in every relationship) - movie dates where you skype and watch the same movie - picking a tv show you two watch at the same time and text about - respecting boundaries (every relationship tho guys cmon.) - making each other a Playlist - giving each other a tag - posting about each other - sending them something of yours like a shirt or a stuffed animal - telling them how you wanna cuddle them - and kiss them - planning out how you two will meet or what you would do when you two are living together - send them a post and just simply say “this reminded me of you.” - SENDING EACH OTHER LETTERS BC ITS OLD FASHIONED AF BUT ITS SUPER NICE TO HAVE SOMETHING IN THE OTHER PERSONS WRITING - maybe tell them that you talk to your friends about them. (It’s always super nice to hear your partner brags about you.) - reminding them that you love them and only them - sending them random cheesy paragraphs

My boyfriend and I have been together for three years and recently we've talked about meeting in about two years or so. He's 19 and a a soon-to-be sophomore in college and I'm 16 and a soon-to-be junior in high school. His parents know about our relationship and are supportive, but mine do not because I am afraid to tell them. I'm 99.9% certain they'll stop all communication between us if I told them now. Does this make me a bad girlfriend? Thank you!
Of course it doesn't make you a bad girlfriend! It's okay to be scared to tell your family. Maybe try talking to them about you S/O as a friend first, and then if they're comfortable with that talk to them about being in a relationship with the S/O.
Bf & I been together for 3 yrs and did l.d on and off during holidays at uni etc, but since we left uni last yr we've been doing it full time. We see eachother every weekend but recently its been awkward. It was my birthday on Monday and he didnt phone me once or get me a present. We have hardly anything in common since leaving uni & when we go out we often just end up in silence. Been talking about moving in & dont wanna give up when the l.d might be ending, but it doesnt feel like love anymore
Sit down with him and talk to him, talking it out sometimes helps. Sometimes it feels like it isn't love anymore because it's turning into and changing into something more. I've been there. Maybe your two are both trying to hard or not trying hard enough to make it work. If your giving 80% and he's not giving the same maybe the relationship has run its course. My name’s Zie and I’ve created this Tumblr/blog for just one reason. Or at least it is one of the reason. I don’t have any expectation of this blog but it would mean a lot knowing that there’s some interests in following some of my writings.
I’ve received a vintage looking journal from my girlfriend back in September 2016 and I haven’t begin writing in it. Cause:
1) I am very particular about being neat. 2) I don’t want to ruin such a beautiful book. 3) Pretty much just these 2 reasons. And I am trying to change that. I am going to start compiling my writings into the book, and probably on this blog too. I haven’t been one to be open about my writings, but maybe it’s time for some exposure and see where it’ll take me, or if it’ll take me anywhere at all.
Whatever it is, I hope you’ll enjoy a little bit of what I’m thinking and feel, and maybe relate or just seeing from my point of view in things.

i came this page cuz i needed some comfort with my LDR. 4 months ago i met my boyfriend, we were officially together for 2 months before his stepmom sent him back to england because she just didn't like him. I'm LA and i can honestly say that he is different from everyone I've ever known, we're so in love. He's coming for christmas & I'm nervous cuz ik he's gonna have to leave we both have said we just want to spend our lives together, I'm scared something will get in the way of us. Advice? <3
if its true love in the end nothing will keep you two apart. once you’re together in person with one another everything will feel so right. saying goodbye is hard but with true love its never a forever goodbye, just a see you later.
I have been talking to this guy since the end of August. We aren't technically dating, but we are mutually exclusive. I have never seen him in person, although we do video chat and text almost everyday.He is in the navy and comes home December 18th and we met through tinder. I will be staying with him and his family for 4 or so days. I have already met his family and we get along quite well. I'm just that he wont like me and that things wont be the same in person as they are online. Any advice??
why wouldn’t they be the same? i’m sure once you two are together in person all your nervousness about this will go away. just relax, don’t overthink things. be yourself.

honesty is the best thing to do, i’m sure if you sat down with your parents and talked about it they would understand. show them how much you two care for one another, show them he would never intentionally hurt you. they may be upset at first but it will be easier on you to not keep something thats such a big part of your life such a big secret. hope this helps
