Maura slowly snuggled into her wife and tightly wrapped an arm around her. The Medical Examiner then placed a soft kiss to Jane’s shoulder blade and rested her forehead against Jane’s back before allowing another tear to escape, sliding down her cheek. “I love you Jane.” Maura whispered softly.

Jane didn't know how long she stayed like that. She was aware that at some point she dozed after her emotions settled. When she woke she was sore a bit and it was really late. She groaned.and turned over. "Maura.." She mumbled.

Maura giggled happily as she was lifted out of the hot tub, her giggling didn’t cease until she pressed her lips to Jane’s. After which, Maura smiled and nodded, grabbing the towels as instructed. “Janie…” Maura giggled once again, wrapping her arms around Jane’s neck, gripping the towels tightly as she did so.

Jane smiled and kissed Maura back as she started walking. Never once letting the other woman out of her hold. To be honest. She never wanted to let Maura out of her hold

"It’s alright Jane… I’m not going to judge you, I won’t even acknowledge it if you cry if that’s what you want sweetheart… J-just let me hold you, okay." Maura said soothingly as she tightened her hold around the brunette detective, a single tear of her own sliding down her cheek.

Jane turned them so she could better let Maura hold her. So Maura's back was to the back of the couch. She felt herself start to actually cry as she clung to the woman in front of her.

"Mhm, well then if you prefer… Take me to bed, Jane." Maura whispered in a rather sultry tone of voice, nipping at Jane’s earlobe after speaking. She then began to kiss along her wife’s neck, sucking gently, enough to leave her mark before pulling away ever so slowly. "Well, what will it be Janie?" Maura practically purred.

"As you wish." She whispered back shivering  She stood up out of the water lifting Maura into her arms as she did. She got them out of the hot tub and to where they put down there towels. She knelt down. "Grab those for me" She asked gently.

"Jane… Honey, right now… Just take a little time to grieve, let Angie get used to being here with us, she can start next semester. I’m sure Oakridge will have a slot open just for her. I may have a few connections." Maura replied in a soft tone of voice. "And yes, we can go over the papers, but tomorrow… Right now, I-I just want to hold you and tell you everything is going to be alright." Maura whispered softly, kissing Jane’s lips tenderly after speaking.

Jane swallowed hard feeling her eyes start to water again. Work was what she did when she got sad, or angry. It was her way to coop. She didn't do the cry and get held well. When crying was needed there was a shower. That was before Maura. She felt a tear escape her control and she pulled Maura closer so she could hide her face into the beautiful woman's shoulder.

"Mhm, why? Is the beautiful and oh so strong Detective going to arrest me for public indecency?" Maura whispered hotly into Jane’s ear, moving to straddle the brunette’s lap as her hands weaved into Jane’s luxurious locks. Kissing the Detective with a passion like no other.

Jane was still not that used to people calling her beautiful. She could almost believe it when Maura said it. When she kissed her like that. She moaned into the kiss pulling her closer. When it broke she shook her her head. "You strong wife, may be a bit shy." She whispered.

"Not off of the top of my head Janie, but I am sure I can compile a list for you to go over." Maura giggled as she snuggled into her wife. The mood changed and Maura looked up at Jane with a straight face. "Jane, you are capable of anything and together… I truly believe anything is possible for us. We can and will take great care of that beautiful little girl." Maura said softly before punctuating her statement with a tender kiss to her wife’s lips.

Jane smiled at her wife and kissed her back a couple times. "I.. looked over all those papers. I have a feeling.. Your going to have to explain things to me." She added letting her hand gently kneed into Maura's back. "And.. pick out a school... She only goes to the fancy private ones...." She added.

Maura smiled and nuzzled her face into Jane’s neck, peppering featherlight kisses along the brunette’s tender flesh as her hands continued to draw mindless shapes along Jane’s abdominal muscles. “Logical… Though highly impossible, then again I wouldn’t mind trying to prove myself wrong…” Maura murmured between kisses.

Jane laughed slightly feeling her breathing hitch at her wife's movements and kisses. "Maybe... we could move to somewhere more private " She whispered softly peaking over her shoulder at her Wife.

"I know it isn’t logical, but I can’t help but to have the desire to stay here, right in this moment forever." Maura whispered, her breath hot against Jane’s neck, the Medical Examiner then allowed her hands to rest upon Jane’s, her fingertips drawing mindless shapes upon the brunette’s soft flesh.

Jane shivered at Maura's gentle touch. She sighed softly letting her eyes close and her arms stay around Maura. "Mhmm.. Me too." She agreed. "It's perfectly logical. Right now, with you. Who could want anything else."

Maura smiled faintly and walked over to the couch, she then moved to lay atop of Jane, allowing the brunette to wrap her arms around her. “I’m really not good at this Jane, comforting someone after loss but I do know that in time… Things will get better.” Maura said in a soft tone of voice, she then kissed Jane’s cheek before resting her head upon Jane’s shoulder.

Jane chuckled at the matter of fact reply from her wife. She pulled Maura as close to her as she could swallowing hard. "Do you have facts on that? Dr. Isles-Rizzoli." Maybe she just liked saying her wife's new full name. She got a little serious. "Do.. Do you think we can do this? A.. are you really ok doing this?"

Hi, I've only read a little bit, but it's awesome. Do you ever submit this to the fanfic site? Or just on a scrolling blog...I'm not sure exactly where to start here or if I am going in order. Great stuff though!

But this story line is a bit off of that fan fiction but it’s own thing. Maura smiled sweetly and then nodded. The Medical Examiner then slowly moved to lift the little girl from Jane’s form, carrying her as if she were a newborn baby, Maura walked with Angie up the stairs and into the guest room before turning on the small night light. Maura then laid Angie down onto the bed and slowly moved to cover her up with the covers, smiling as the little girl seemed to sleep soundly. 

After making sure Angie hadn’t awoken from her slumber, Maura exited the guest room and slowly made her way back down stairs. “I think it’s time we got you to bed too…” Maura giggled as she walked into the living room to see Jane.

Jane got up when Maura moved. She picked up the pizza and things as Maura put the little girl to bed. She then laid back down on the couch not really wanting to move. She sighed and shook her head. 

She put out her arms for Maura. "I.. I need a few moments with you first." She whispered trying not to cry. Jane Rizzoli didn't cry. Sometimes with Maura she did but she wouldn't admit that.

"I do to." Maura replied, resting her head upon Jane’s shoulder, smiling as she inhaled the scent of her sunscreen mixed with the brunette’s shampoo. "Mhm, I love you." Maura whispered before placing a soft kiss to Jane’s neck, she then laid her head to rest once again atop the brunette’s shoulder.

Jane smiled softly and at the kiss and kept her arms around Maura tightly. She didn't want to move or let go. Everything here was perfect. "Love you too, Maur." She said softly.

Maura smiled as she watched Jane continue to swim before allowing her eyes to follow the brunette as she got out of the pool and made her way over to the hot tub. “I’m glad we decided to spend the day out here, it really is relaxing and just what we need before heading back to work.” Maura said softly, sliding over a bit so that she could rest into the brunette.

Jane smiled and adjusted her arm so Maura could lean against her. She nodded her head as she now held her wife. "Mhmm yes" She mumbled holding her closely. She didn't really want to let go. "I like the no interruptions part of this vacation. "

Maura watched the television, though the actions of the little girl and Jane didn’t go unnoticed by her. She simply didn’t want to cause attention to herself or to the situation, merely glancing over at the two most important people in her life. 

After the little one seemingly fell asleep, Maura smiled and looked over to Jane fully for the first time in over an hour. The Medical Examiner had to stifle a giggle when she noticed her wife’s eyes were closed as well.  "Jane, Janie… We should put Angie to bed." Maura whispered, nudging Jane’s foot lightly, hoping that by doing so the woman would wake up gently instead of abruptly. Not wanting to cause the woman to wake up her daughter.

If it had been anyone but Maura's voice with that gentle shake she proably would have been very fast in her movements as it was her eyes snapped open and her arms tightened just a little. 

Maura's words filtered through her brain and she nodded. "You wanna carry her." She asked softly as she wiggled her numb fingers that where under the child's head. "I'm kinda stuck.

Maura sat silently in the hot tub as she watched Jane swim, the sight nearly causing the Medical Examiner to drool. In truth, Maura loved Jane’s form. Every inch of her and it seemed to be rare that Jane would show off her amazing figure except when they were alone together in the privacy of their own home. This made Maura relish the moment, her eyes glued to her wife as she continued to swim in the rather large pool near the hot tub. “So beautiful..” Maura murmured.

Jane did a few more laps tell she could feel the burn in her mucsles. She slipped out of the water and pulled on the baggie t-shirt as she walked to the hot tub and slide in next to her wife. She made a soft noise as the warm water felt good on her now tired limbs. "This was a good Idea." She said softly.

Maura couldn’t help but to giggle as she sat upon the couch with Jane and Angie, it felt surreal and kind of perfect even given the circumstances. It was what Maura had really always wanted, someone to love and who loved her in return and a family, a real one. “It’s quite informative.” Maura replied before leaning over and kissing Jane’s cheek. “Next time you can pick…” Maura whispered into Jane’s ear, she then pulled away and began to pick at her pizza.

Jane missed Maura almost as soon as she leaned away again to pick at her pizza. She watched the kid though as pretended to watch the t.v. She didn't really touch her food. Food just didn't sound amazing anymore. 

After a while, when her food was done. Angie's eyes never leaving the t.v. She crawled up into Jane's lap. She didn't notice how Jane's arms moved so she could or how Jane put a blanket around her as she laid down using the pillow next to Jane on the couch. Or how that arm laid carefully over her again. Just that from all the places she had been this past crazy sad week. Here she didn't feel so scared. 

Jane adjusted after Angie laid down to lay behind her. She let her feet lay on her wife's lap. She didn't even notice her own eyes fall shut after Angie's breathing settled.
