About the Blog
This blog was made to host RP-Cases for Ace Attorney rpers. Although it's mainly for those in the fandom, anyone can join in. To create a case, you'll have to gather those you want to be involved and agree on the general case idea. (It doesn't have to be complete, i.e. you don't have to know who the murderer is yet; though having one member know is preferred so the mod won't get confused.)
The main roles should be filled in and submitted to the Detention Center so that it may be recorded and named. (Names are usually the initials of the victim followed by a random number because mod is lazy.)
Roles are as follows:
Defense Attorney Assistant Prosecutor (Head) Detective
Victim Suspect Others
Example post here.
Obviously you'll mainly be communicating through submissions if mod isn't rping as the suspects in the case. This may or may not be turned into a group.
I'm sure I forgot to mention something but I'll come back and edit it later |D;
If you have any questions, just ask~
No doubt the defense will harp on this if they ever find out…
“Very well, Mr. Marcus Dent. You must already know this, but don’t speak a word about this to the defense. Your sister had this prototype too, correct? Was she ‘spicing it up’?”
Hm? Alright.
No, Millie was simply testing out the programs-- both of them; my father's and mine.
I will have to question this John Smith later on.
“Very well Mr. Marcus Dent. Now I will have to ask you a tough question, but only so that I can protect the case from the defense. You had a prototype of your father’s on your computer, correct? If the defense finds out this information, they will drag the reason out of you in court. I can help you if I know all the details. Therefore, you must tell me why you had it.”
Is it truly strange that I have it? I am his son after all. Father's program needed ..spicing up. Tell you what, I'll even let you in on a secret: it was related to the conversation we had on the phone. I've discovered better ways to use the program but father disapproved of my idea.
“I see. If you take the witness stand, I must warn you that the foolish defense attorney will try to make you testify about that ‘argument’, so testify as you just said, it wasn't really an argument.”
“Now, this next question may be difficult. Were you and Millie the ones to discover the body?”
Well, then consider me warned.
Actually, it is quite strange but the body was discovered by that woman, Millie, and our butler, John Smith. From what I gathered, father ordered to be left alone after our conversation so no one saw him until we came home. Not wanting to see him, I decided not to join them and went to my room instead. The reason for that should be obvious for one as sharp as you, Ms. von Karma.
Hello Mr. Marcus Dent. I am Prosecutor Franziska von Karma. After speaking with your sister I will need to ask you a few questions.
Let’s start with your phone call with your father. You were arguing about him going with your sister to pick you up? And what time did you end up arriving home?
Prosecutor von Karma? Well, at least you seem much more capable than the defense attorney.
Argument? You mean the phone call? It was nothing really.. Father disagreed with some of my ..business plans and wanted to talk to me about it. I was tired and needed some rest, I saw no need to see him. By the time Millie and I got home it was probably around 3:00 to 3:30 am. Traffic really is quite bad these days, especially in the city.
The food here is atrocious! Detective, might I have some of your snac--
No! I already told you, no snackoos for you.
“Might just be it..Though the point being is there are no other witnesses other then your kids in this case..”He was just trying to find the plot twist to this case so he could help Ema out.”Thanks but no thanks I’m just trying to get the right impression of the case therefore I would need the proper stories from each of them to hand to Ema.”
Best of luck to you, sir. I hope you will find the truth about this case.
“Then something must be very strange in that case…Was there anyone else in the house on the day of his murder?”He fixed his glasses and knew it would be an Impossibility cause if she did not do it nor the kids..then who would!?
Just the usual people. Our servants, butler and such. You are very kind to help investigate.
You're much nicer than that other detective. She wouldn't even share snacks with me--something about not giving anything to suspects..
“Really now…”He then thought about interrogating those other two for their sides of the story.”Well I guess you aren’t lying seeing as how you are pretty emotional about it..”Though he thought one could easily fake it.
Oh, don't be silly! Those two would never harm their fathers! They're such great kids. I'm sure this whole mess is just a big understanding..
Well fuck you got yourself involved mun good job. “That would require a good look-a-like to have been killed…”He thought. “Did you love him from the bottom of your heart? You might be a murder suspect but I would want to see your side of the story as clearly as possible same with the Witnesses ofcourse…” He then sighed he sounded too much like a freelance detective.
Of course I did! I would never harm him!
Questioning the Witness
That is perfect information, Ms. Millie Dent. I will have Detective Skye retrieve the key to the cabinet and have it tested for fingerprints.
Now, I will have to ask you and your brother this, but I need to know about the prototype of your father’s on your computer. Why did you have it? Was it given to you, or did you take it? Please be honest with me, I can still win the trial no matter what your answer is.
How did you know about the prototype!?
I simply have it because father required it to be tested and improved. Nothing more, nothing less. Surely you can't claim it has anything to do with the case-- I am my father's daughter.
I'm sure Marcus is done by now so I'll be taking my leave.
glennshiraishi reblogged your post: Oh Joseph, I really miss you.
“I’m sure this Joseph would...you aswell…”The mun fixed his glasses and left the area yet...
block
If only I could talk to him one last time..
Oh Joseph, I really miss you.
goldensnackoos submitted:
Are you the fool who’s decided to defend that woman’s case. Might I ask you a question? Are you an idiot? Surely none but her could’ve done it. Millie and I were both at the airport and I doubt the mindless puppets we call servants around here are even capable of doing our father any wrong.
He was a good man you see, perhaps too good. Always willing to help those in need. Always loving those who care for others. Obviously it was a flaw, seeing how he ended up getting killed.
[Apollo was fighting hunger now, thanks to the spell. But he was able to stimulate enough brain cells to get out a decent question.]
Marcus, I presume?
Alright, then, if you’re so sure she did it, then why don’t you give me a motive? Why would Cindy Dent kill your father? Why would anyone want to kill him?
Hmph. Not the brightest one are you? You even have some spaghetti sauce stuck on to your shirt. Yes, I am Marcus.
I'd think the motive would be the most obvious part of this case but it seems it isn't so. Money, Mr. Justice. In case you are uninformed, my father's company is worth millions. I'm sure it was the woman's plan all along, marry a rich person, take advantage of him, and take his money. It is repulsive.
Questioning the Witness
I will have to talk to your brother as well. So you left after that to pick your brother?
Most likely the defense will want to know about the tea set. So I must know- did you see your father with the tea set out when you last saw him? And that tea set is only used between your father and the dependent? Was put someplace special, like a locked cabinet?
Yes, I did. I didn't think anything so drastic would occur!
Our mother had brought tea when she tried to comfort him. There is nothing that relaxes our father the way herbal tea does. Since the set is an antique, it's kept in a special showcase. The only ones who are allowed to touch it are my mother, father, Marc and I, and our main butler. Even though it's locked, it's common knowledge that the key is taped right under the cabinet. In retrospect, I don't even know why we keep it locked..
If you want to talk to Marcus he's in the next room, probably talking to mother.
Questioning the Witness
Are you the prosecutor who is working on our mother’s case? My name is Millie Dent. I.. I don’t want to seem like a bad daughter but I can’t let a murderer free!
You see, though I may not have solid evidence I want to help you catch this villain! The last time anyone saw my father he was with the woman who dares call herself our mother. Not to mention, the tea set that father drinks from is their “special set”. They only use it when they have tea with each other.
Thank you Ms. Millie Dent for coming to me with this information. I understand how you feel. We are duty bound to tell the court what we saw, even if it is about our family.
Since you do not possess decisive evidence, I must have you take the witness stand during the trial. I will need to ask you a few questions though, so I have a perfect understanding of what happened.
At about what time did you see your father with the defendant? What were you doing at the time, and where did you go afterword?
I think the last time I saw my father was at around 12:30pm. I was to go out to pick up my brother at the airport at 2am. Just as I was leaving, my father got a phone call from my brother, apparently the plane had arrived early. Father wanted to go with me to pick him up but I think Marc disagreed. I'm not quite sure what happened but then they started arguing on the phone.
Eventually father got so furious that he just hung up on my brother. Then that woman came and tried to soothe father but only proved to fuel his anger. It was strange though, since father has always been such a kind and patient man.
