So I haven’t really known what to say about this RP closing, so I just stayed my distance. I am sad to see this place go. I was here at the beginning, and though I was gone for a while, I came back because I really do enjoy this RP and all the players. 

That said, I am not going to deactivate any of my profiles on here. I like to keep an archive of my stuff.

“Of course not. It’s just that you can have one more now.”

“Exactly,” he laughed. “Anyway, how’ve you been, mate? How’s work?”

Elliott shrugged, “Still. I may not be the biggest fan of how violent Quidditch is, but without you, your team may have lost. No need to downplay it.” 

Neil chuckled a little. “Almost every sport is violent. An’ I think some muggle sports are much more rough than Quidditch can be. But I’ll take it. I helped us win, which is kind of big for me.”

“And apparently wouldn’t have, if you hadn’t deterred the other.” 

“M’not sayin’ that. My team’s seeker is pretty good. I just made her job easier.”

“Exactly. And for that, we’ll celebrate with a drink. On me.”

“If you’re buyin’, I’m drinkin’,” Neil laughed. “Not that I wouldn’t’ve had a drink anyway.”

“May as well just take the credit if you’re going to put it like that.” 

“Maybe... But it’s a team effort. My team’s seeker still had t’ catch the snitch.”

“Even if it is only the Cannons’ seeker, I’d say that’s something worth celebrating.”

“Exactly. Still counts.”

“...I’m not saying I won us the match, but I did hit the bludger that knocked the other seeker off his broomtick...”

Sorry my activity has been shit this week. Work is a bitch. But hopefully it’s better after Tuesday... Pray for me on election night.

“True. I don’t think I could catch a Quaffle without falling off my broom,” he scrunched his nose. “It’s not always easy to have some angry, fast, vicious ball come flying toward you, knowing you have one chance to hit it or it’ll hit you.”

“And knowing that if you don’t hit it right it’ll hit someone else.” She replied, shaking her head slightly. “As I’ve said before, it takes a special breed of people to be beaters. I couldn’t do it.”

Neil nodded. “Everyone on the team has a special set of skills.”

“Mhm,” he hummed. “I think I could throw a Quaffle… I’m not sure how good I’d be, but I’d try.”

“It’s not only if you can throw, but can you catch and dodge as well?” She teased, shaking her head. “I would suck as a beater, straight up. I think in first year someone made me try it and I accidentally hit someone.”

“I think accuracy and speed should go hand in hand. But you can’t go so fast that it ruins your accuracy,” he agreed. “Well, we know what we’re familiar with.”

“Exactly, but you can’t be so slow that it also ruins your accuracy.” She replied, giving a shrug. “And I’m sure if I handed you a Quaffle you’d freak out as much as I would if you handed me your bat.”

“Mhm,” he hummed. “I think I could throw a Quaffle... I’m not sure how good I’d be, but I’d try.”

Neil nodded again. “Exactly. I know some teams have all players on Firebolts, but I just don’t think going that fast is always helpful.”

“I can understand why speed is needed, it’s a very fast, and very dangerous, game. But you want accuracy as well as speed. But I guess accuracy also depends a lot on the player.” Juliette mused, frowning slightly. “I don’t know. To be honest I only know a lot about chasers, everyone else I’m a little hazy on.”

He nodded. “Yeah, I think it would be too fast for me. I can’t just whip around the pitch when I’m trying to be accurate when hitting a bludger.”

“Exactly, they’re more practical for keepers and seekers. I need something that’s sturdy enough to hold me as I’m going after the Quaffle. I don’t need speed, I get enough speed from being vertically challenged.”

“I know it is,” he chuckled. “I’m really glad you like it. My new one is amazing. I went with the new Nimbus model. The Firebolt was way too expensive, and I don’t have that much money saved yet. But I love it. Nimbus’ are reliable.”

“Firebolts are so fast as well.” She replied, shaking her head. “I wouldn’t be able to handle a Firebolt, at least not until I had a decent amount of practice on it.”

“How’s it going with the broom by the way?” He asked. He hoped it was as good to her as it was to him in the pitch.

“Amazing. It’s faster than my old one, it’s so perfect. Thank you.” She smiled, her face lighting up the way it did when she spoke about Quidditch. “How’s your new one?”
