The mild attempt at insult has her SMILING, no bother at all to try and hide the AMUSEMENT at the title. A child, they both knew well enough she was not. Young for an Asgardian perhaps, but she had more than most, and an adult in all standards.
“A child? I certainly HOPE not, not with how you have been looking at me.”
The words are clipped and DELIBERATE, her expression one in challenge before she turns away from him, dragging her tongue over her lower lip and inclining her head for him to lead the way. FOR NOW.
Despite his earlier cheek, Hela listens RAPTLY to the information, all but drinking it in. Step in line with his as he moves to explain. It has always FASCINATED her, seeing such new realms, new cultures. Despite what she was ordered to do, despite the Golden light CALLING, she enjoyed taking time to know what she would rule, in order to keep it as much as she could.
“A beautiful home indeed. The river reminds me of HEL.”
Fingers drag over stone and she pauses as he LECTURES, taking the time to kneel and inspect dancing waters, lost souls and glistening stones. Oh, her father had been QUITE the fool in thinking them lacking, but he would be all the more joyed to rule a veritable paradise.
Perhaps she could coax him into letting her keep the old God, if anything he WAS charming. The company would be fun when she was not in battle. And Fenris was so very TAKEN with Cerberus, after all.
Green eyes flash at his comment of BOREDOM, false in his apology. Clearly he was PROUD of his home and his world, as he should be, still it was so ADORABLE how quick he was to babble for it.
“Though I will say your realm has been my FAVOURITE so far, you brothers are…”
Egotistical, rude, sexist, in need of at least several knives in their bollocks each time they attempted to meet her-
“Not as WELCOMING. They could learn a thing or two I think.”
The girl's sudden quip gives Hades pause— he had not expected such frankness from a princess, even if she was a spy. The God took a step back, appraising her once more. Oh, this could be such fun.
“And how do I look at you, hm?” The smirk on his lips was as teasing as it was rare, his eyes stealing another greedy gaze at the vision before him. He was almost surprised that she had caught him looking, even though he wasn't exactly trying to hide it. Hades had just made the mistake of thinking that, as a royal princess, the girl would be chaste and naive when it comes to the matters of desire. Obviously, he was wrong.
As they walked back towards the palace, she had decided to steer the conversation towards his brothers, it seemed, and Hades welcomed the new topic. He often ranted about them to Cerberus, or to the souls, but their responses weren’t quite as satisfying as he suspected Hela’s will be.
“There's no need to be so careful, dear, you can say it: they are complete morons, both of them,” Hades grimaced at the thought of his younger brothers, the familiar distaste filling his stomach. The two gods in question were not among Hades’ favorite people, not in the slightest— they were immature, reckless, petty, and entirely too vapid. “I can only imagine Zeus’ reaction to meeting you. Frankly, I'd be impressed if he didn't start salivating.”
His youngest brother was a lecherous, narrow-minded man of very few good qualities, and even less sense. Hades shuddered to think of Zeus having anything to do with Hela. The girl was a treasure beyond Zeus’ reach, and the Lord of the Underworld intended to keep it that way. To keep her.
“Anyway, thank you for your kind words, I do try. Tell me, Your Highness, do you have any siblings?”
