FENLAND FOLK - 10 LARGE ILLUSTRATIVE ARTWORKS BY ELECTRIC EGG
Electric Egg are excited to announce an exciting new project to be unveiled in January 2016. On the 31st of January Transported & FreshLinc will unveil a series of 10 artworks in the latest "Art on Lorries" commission.
The artworks created by Neil Baker and Steven Hatton of Electric Egg, celebrates people and places in Boston Borough and South Holland. These unique trailers will give people from Lincolnshire and beyond the opportunity to learn about the characters and history of the area, from the Dutch engineers who drained the Fenlands, to Dame Sarah Swift, founder of the Royal College of Nursing, and architect and antiquarian William Stukeley.
All ten spectacular trailers will be displayed together for the first time at the launch at Springfields Event and Conference Centre on Tuesday 31st January 2017.
The ‘Art on Lorries’ project has been commissioned by Transported in partnership with local haulage company Freshlinc. Each inspiration for the design was chosen by a Freshlinc employee who is depicted on the rear of the respective trailer explaining why they chose the person or subject.

Alisha Miller’s bold and expressive depictions of Lincolnshire landscapes, have been touring Europe on Freshlinc trailers for nearly two years. Lincolnshire Loveliness has been reported nationally, and the designs have recently been transformed into a collectable Corgi model.

MISCANTHUS: The Seeds to Grow a Sustainable, Low Carbon Economy
Over the last few years we have been working with innovative energy crop supply chain company TERRAVESTA. Not only have we been involved in editorial portraiture of their growers as part of their grower profiles, but we have also been documenting the development and deployment of new varieties of this Miscanthus crop developed as part of a large agricultural research and development project at IBERS - Aberystwyth University with partners such as Ceres Inc and the University of Aberdeen. As part of this we have shot timelapses of the development crop growing in test fields and trials of experimental planting and growing methods as well as documenting the hard work and rigorous testing and breeding of varieries to develop a new seed based Miscanthus that can deliver high yields in the european climate.
Check out this science doc that explains the potential and the development of this new agricultural product and world energy solution.

FREEDOM TRAIL - a documentary by Electric Egg
We recently worked with Just Lincolnshire to document an exciting project that engaged school children with the concepts of human rights to mark the 800th anniversary of the charter of the forest. The trail saw students involved in various woodland activities, dramatic performances and challenges in Hill Holt Wood. It was a great project and fun to film - check out our film about the project.
