I built a free, open-source app to organize and catalog your CC! (Plus a small favor to ask 🤍)
Dag dag! đź‘‹
If your Mods folder is anything like the ones I've seen, it's probably a chaotic mix of .package files, random folders, and thousands of items you downloaded at 3 AM.
To help solve this, I spent some time building an app called CC Catalog. It’s completely free, open-source (no ads, no tracking), and I just released it for everyone to download.
What does CC Catalog do? It’s a desktop application designed to make managing your Custom Content way less of a headache.
Scan & Catalog:Â It reads your Mods folder to safely organize your CC.
Creator Management:Â easily view, filter, and track CC by specific creators (no more losing track of who made what!).
Clean UI:Â A modern, easy-to-use interface to see your download history and manage your files without having to boot up the game.
Archive Support: It can easily handle .zip and .rar files.
How to use it:
Download the latest Setup.exe app from my GitHub Releases page here: https://github.com/devbrunoflorian/CC-Catalog/releases
Install and open the app.
Follow the modal prompt to scan your Sims 4 Mods folder.
Let it do its magic and organize your files!
Why I made this (and my small favor to ask):Â I built this tool because I saw firsthand how much of a struggle it is to organize massive amounts of custom content. I really wanted to contribute something useful back to this amazing community that keeps this game alive and fresh.
I'm releasing this app completely for free. I don't want donations or coffee money. But if you find CC Catalog helpful and want to say "thank you", I have one small favor to ask:
Please go support [Violet Simmer]! 👉 [https://www.patreon.com/cw/byvioletsimmer]
She is an absolutely incredible creator who pours so much time, talent, and love into her work. Supporting her creations (whether that's downloading her stuff, following her, or joining her Patreon) would mean the absolute world to me. I made this app inspired by the hard work creators like her put into the game, and she deserves all the recognition!
Let me know if you run into any bugs or have feature requests on the GitHub page. Happy Simming! đź’šđź’Ž
