How can I make fashion have a positive influence on the mental health with the power of sensory? Concept story A lot of people are lost in the search of looking for what it is that makes them unique, special and one of a kind. This creates a lot of chaos in the mind which makes an individual instable and in the worst case causes a mental disorder. Articles about scientists who investigated the mind and mental illness concluded that not only colors, any sort of experience and illness have a big impact and influence on the behavioral or mental pattern, but also sounds and scents. Inspiration I got inspired for this concept because I was looking around me and I noticed that a lot of people are suffering of all different kinds of mental illness or disorders. A lot of people search for any kind of comfort in life. One thing that caught my attention was the fact that a lot of people wear hoodies more often. I was interested about the reason why and what it is that people are looking for. It seems like some people just like to escape this world just for a moment and get away of all the negativity in this world and pressure. At this point in life the world is beginning to be a polluted place. not only the environment but also within the people who live in it. My opinion is that if people feel better about themselves they treat everything around them much better. All tough fashion is one of the biggest polluters of the world it will still remain to exist. therefor I would like to use fashion for not only style or clothing purposes but to better things. My plan is to make hoods for people who want to have a better connection and balance with their inner selves by making hoods which provides that. The themes of my hoods will have different purposes. One theme called; Protect your peace Is there for people who would like to have a snugged feeling during the day and feel a sort of Warm and secure feeling that people experience while laying in bed or beging hugged by your favored person for example. This hood gives an individual a protected and calming feeling by triggering the senses of Touch – hugging feeling from the straps and soft fabric against the skin Smell – the filling mixture of Camille and mint Sight – the limited sight you get when strapping your hood around your head or putting on the cap The other theme is called; Nature therapy This one is for people who seek their balance and inner peace within the nature. A lot of people get energie or satisfaction out of the nature. The sounds, smell and felling they get of the light either sun of moon. This is a hood made out of a transparent fabric which give people an optimal sight and enhances the sounds of wind or raindrops which give people an optimal outdoor and nature experience. This hood triggers the senses of Smell – the filling mixture of jasmin and mint Sight – the transparent fabris Hearing – the material which enhances and accentuates the sounds
