I have an overwhelming and maddening lust, an affinity for infinity, and for all of what she stands
She was full of promises, the definition of forever, but forever is hard to hold with soft and idle hands
She is this infatuation, the elusively fleeting affinity by which the promise of infinity was mistaken
And all that she stands for, all that she has given, now wild with the fire from all that she has taken
I can't breathe when she speaks to me, as if behind her lips there's a home for both ecstasy and lies
I can't breathe when I am on my knees and I bow now before my good-bye goddess who is, and was, infinity
My body tingled and shook as we--my Goddess, Infinity, and I--rolled in evening sweat and sweet lullaby
We gaze at one another, back and forth, eye to eye, looking for no answers, nor assuming any lie
Laughing at this lack of power by admitting to infinity, and how truly ridiculous life and reality can be
Grinning wildy from shockwaves spinning down my spine, as my euphoria peaks from is this love, this ecstasy
Kneeling now, before this barely contained wildfire that is her beauty and ferocity, her as all-encompassing
She shatters my ego, yet keeps me close to her with her siren songs, singing about how love lasts forever.
Spinning sticky sugar strings of ichor-soaked "I love you"s, to eventual bittersweet "good-bye"s, because nothing and forever is everything in-between the two sides of knowing what she could even mean when she says her love is infinite, but her loves destiny has not chosen me, my Goddess--infinity.
In the moment of euphoria, I'll cherish every eventual fragmented memory in which I got to experience a sense of starlight in her eyes. Infinity doesn't exist, but there is starlight in her eyes.
Spoken words and heavy hearts, exploding stars and butterflies.
I believe this is what these infinite emotions would sound like if they could somehow speak through us to one another
